Called to the Ministry of DIVISION

UNITY – This word has been used in so many arenas. It seems that everyone is preaching about unity in the Church. However, many have it misconstrued and misunderstood. According to the Word of God, the Ascension gifts and offices are set in place to bring unity in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4). The reason unity is not being obtained in today’s churches is because we are still trying to unify people by the world’s standards. We are trying to unify apples and oranges. We want to bring together the holy with the unholy. Just because people attend church, we want to call them brothers and sisters in Christ. Not so. Where is the discernment? Where is the honesty and the soberness of mind? We know better.

Can two walk together, except they be agreed? What fellowship does light have with darkness? People of God, it’s time to get back to the Word. Just like everyone else, I’m tired of the quarreling and the lack of one-mindedness in the ministry. Yet, in my prayer time, God reminded me that His word is true. “My prophets,” He said, “are not called to bring unity, but division.” Yes, my Daddy explained that unity cannot take place until holiness is first separated from that which is unholy.

How do we know true ministry is still not taking place? We know because we’re too concerned with people “getting along.” We’re too concerned about worldly possessions. Yet, our zeal for truth, AT ANY COST, is lacking.

Luke 12:51 Do you suppose that I have come to give peace upon earth? No, I say to you, but rather division;
Luke 12:52 For from now on in one house there will be five divided [among themselves], three against two and two against three.
Luke 12:53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

In His ministry, Jesus never claimed to preach peace. He did not have a message asking everyone to “get along” and “work together.” Instead, he turned homes upside down. He divided churches and turned best friends against one another. Why? Because natural unity is not a priority. Unity is the spirit is needed, but only when unified in the RIGHT Spirit.
Truly, this is a time when some people should just be getting mad. We are in a season when obedience to the Father will destroy alliances. The flesh is about to get upset – if God’s people speak what thus says the Lord. It’s time for the martyrs to come forth. You may get some threatening phone calls. You may be blamed for some divorces. You may become a scapegoat for runaway children and separated best friends. Will you stand the ground even in this level of adversity?
