What is in Your Hand?

God has been dealing with so much lately about the state of the Church - the Body of Christ. Many of us are literally in spiritual ruins, tossed to and fro with no sense of direction. Where is our discipline and obedience? Where is our RELATIONSHIP with the Father?

Praying and pondering...praying and pondering. I've been doing so much of this lately. The Lord took me to the book of Nehemiah, the fourth chapter. In the early chapters of the book, Nehemiah faced a similar concern with the physical state of Jerusalem. The city was in ruins, and the man of God was grieved to see the devastation. After asking permission of the king and after praying to God, Nehemiah set out to rebuild the city.

Isn't the church in a similar state today? The church lies in ruins. The people are weak. Our faith is not fortified. We are disobedient. We are sloppy in ministry and everyday affairs. God is not pleased. There is a heavy burden on my heart to help the church "rebuild." God's people need to get back to the basics. We must begin seeking His face again, especially in this country.

Getting back to the text, the Father drew my attention to the fourth chapter.


¹BUT WHEN Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry and in a great rage, and he ridiculed the Jews.

²And he said before his brethren and the army of Samaria, What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore things [at will and by themselves]? Will they [try to bribe their God] with sacrifices? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, seeing they are burned?

³Now Tobiah the Ammonite was near him, and he said, What they build--if a fox climbs upon it, he will break down their stone wall.

In the first few verses of the passage, we see that Nehemiah was picked on and frustrated by Sanballat and his associates. Sanballat was a prominent Samaritan of the time. He represented the pious and traditional. Isn't it funny how those who have a "name" in the physical church like to pick on the "little" ones who try to fix the issues in the Body? My God. "Baby, it's been that way for years." "Who do you think you are? You don't know everything." "Where is your respect for tradition?" Yes, I've heard them all. Yet, I've learned that many are simply afraid of losing a position. Glory to God! If the Lord calls us, appoints us and ordains us for a place, He has prepared us to do that specific job. If we are replaced, our own disobedience is to blame. Amen?

⁴[And Nehemiah prayed] Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn their taunts upon their own heads, and give them for a prey in a land of their captivity.

⁵Cover not their iniquity and let not their sin be blotted out before You, for they have vexed [with alarm] the builders and provoked You.

Praise God for a mind to work! Saints, it's time for us to get back to work - God's work. Despite the ridicule and persecution, Nehemiah sought the Father. He reminded God of their transgressions. Notice that he didn't lash back at those who persecuted him. He simply sought God and made his concerns known. Ahhh. How many of us could have avoided a lot of trouble has we just sought God and kept our mouths shut?!

⁶So we built the wall, and all [of it] was joined together to half its height, for the people had a heart and mind to work.

⁷But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabians, Ammonites, and Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were going up and that the breaches were being closed, they were very angry.

⁸And they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem, to injure and cause confusion and failure in it.

My, my, my. Don't be surprised, people of God, when the enemy comes against you using the very "church folk" you thought had your back. Not everybody who claims to be saved is going to be happy when God's work is done by your hands. Not everyone has a mind to rejoice at your testimony! In fact, many WANT to see you fail. BUT GOD!!! Hallelujah! He who has begun a good work in you WILL perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!

⁹But because of them we made our prayer to our God and set a watch against them day and night.

¹⁰And [the leaders of] Judah said, The strength of the burden bearers is weakening, and there is much rubbish; we are not able to work on the wall.

¹¹And our enemies said, They will not know or see till we come into their midst and kill them and stop the work.

¹²And when the Jews who lived near them came, they said to us ten times, You must return [to guard our little villages]; from all places where they dwell they will be upon us.

Again, when the attacks came, Nehemiah and his people WATCHED AND PRAYED. Saints, we must watch for the enemy and fortify ourselves in prayer, EVEN IN THE CHURCH. The church is the enemy's favorite hangout, and he has a plan to destroy the spiritual baby God is trying to birth in all of us by way of ministry. Do not be deceived. Now is truly to time to be wise as serpents, but innocent as doves.

¹³So I set [armed men] behind the wall in places where it was least protected; I even thus used the people as families with their swords, spears, and bows.

¹⁴I looked [them over] and rose up and said to the nobles and officials and the other people, Do not be afraid of the enemy; [earnestly] remember the Lord and imprint Him [on your minds], great and terrible, and [take from Him courage to] fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.

¹⁵And when our enemies heard that their plot was known to us and that God had frustrated their purpose, we all returned to the wall, everyone to his work.

Armour...armour. Where is the armour of God we are commanded to put on in Ephesians 6? This is how we withstand when the enemy comes. Nehemiah reminded the people not to be afraid of the enemy. Instead, they took on their weapons with a mind to fight for the safety of their families. Saints of God, this is a warring season! Satan is attacking right before our eyes, and many of us are just sitting back and taking it. Where is the fight in God's people? Where is the spiritual warfare. Where is the five-fold ministry in action? Apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors - did no one see the enemy coming to destroy the wall and invade the city? When the enemy is exposed, as we see here, then the people can return to work. We are distracted, perplexed and confused because the enemy is not being detected. Hmmm.

¹⁶And from that time forth, half of my servants worked at the task, and the other half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail; and the leaders stood behind all the house of Judah.

¹⁷Those who built the wall and those who bore burdens loaded themselves so that everyone worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other hand,

¹⁸And every builder had his sword girded by his side, and so worked. And he who sounded the trumpet was at my side.

My God! This truly blessed me. God said, "What do you have in your hand?" When I read this portion of the scripture, it was truly a blessing. Nehemiah's team worked with tools in one hand, but weapons in the other! My God! Saints, we must do the work God has called us to do, but we cannot lay down our weapons. The tools are given to us in the form of gifts, offices, signs and wonders, etc. Yet, God has also given us weapons to stand firm against the enemy. The Word of God, faith, prayer and many others. Too many of us are trying to work without being prepared to fight. Too many of us are working UNARMED! Check yourself. What is in your hand? Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, how can you expect to fully operate in your gifts without a fight from the enemy! Wake up and get ready to fight!

¹⁹And I said to the nobles and officials and the rest of the people, The work is great and scattered, and we are separated on the wall, one far from another.

²⁰In whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.

²¹So we labored at the work while half of them held the spears from dawn until the stars came out.

²²At that time also I said to the people, Let everyone with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that at night they may be a guard to us and a laborer during the day.

²³So none of us--I, my kinsmen, my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me--took off our clothes; each kept his weapon [in his hand for days].

Oh, bless God! Nehemiah saw that his men were scattered, so they set up a code - a plan. When the trumpet sounded, they would all gather together - to fortify the group. My God! Don't you hear the Father sounding the trumpet? The prophets are speaking! We must gather as a Body to cover one another. Now is the time to cry loud and spare not! Listen for the sounding of the Word of the Lord, and take heed. Furthermore, don't put down your weapons! Walk in your calling and do the work of the ministry, as the people symbolized by dwelling in Jerusalem. They worked and they guarded. They never took off their clothes, but were always ready to work and fight!

Saints of God, don't let the enemy catch you unaware and unarmed, and don't let the Father catch you not working. What is in your hand?

"Humble yourselves before the Lord" James 4:10

My beautiful church, how I delight in you and adore you. How I have called you to be My Bride, and I have such a great destiny for you. I am purifying My church. I am cleansing My church, removing all the weeds so that My church may grow like never before.

My church, I deserve all the Glory. I Am the Great Creator, Sustainer and Author of all things, and there is nothing bigger than Me. My church, I am saddened by the self-promotion that I see in My church.

I am saddened to see many hearts wanting to promote their own names, and not My Name. I see many taking the Glory for many of My works, and I will not have this.

I have seen many of you have taken a step forward into the limelight when I have said take a step back. I see many hearts are committed to promoting their names, through the works of My hands.

I will not stand for man taking My Glory. I will bring about a holy fire to My church, that will humble all, and show all My Might and My power. For I have not called My People to promote their names, but to promote My name.

For as you die to self, I rise up within you.

I see this self promotion that has come over My church, has come over through insecurity. How much longer will you My people refuse to allow Me to heal you, and fill your wounds with My healing balm? Do you not see through you not allowing Me to heal your past, and move you forward, that you are allowing the enemy to have a foothold.

Through insecurity many of you are trying to fill your wounds with the approval of man. The praise of man. I tell you the truth, nothing will satisfy you, nothing but the bread of heaven. Nothing, but Me.

I have called you to promote the name of Jesus!!!! My Name!!! I have called you to promote My Name! At all costs, dying to self that I might live in and through you.

Check your hearts My church. What do you promote? Are you promoting your own name? Or My Name?

My Holy Fire is going to fall upon My church, and burn out all pride. I will burn out pride from My church. For if you begin to promote yourselves, you will begin to worship each other’s acts, ministries and names. Idols will form. Is this what I have called you too? Surely Not!

Repent for your self-promotion My church. Repent for standing in the place, that I the Lord your God am meant to stand. Do not push Me aside any longer, but choose to live radically abandoned to Me. Promoting My Name.

As you continue to die to self, and continue to let Me live in and through you My church, I will exalt you. I will exalt you. It is not for you to exalt yourselves.
Humility is leaving My church, and I am grieved. For man is nothing without Me.

Can you rely upon each other for salvation? Surely Not. Are your works stable? Surely Not.

It is only My works, and the moves of My hand, that brings life. That creates life, and produces works of eternal and supernatural value.

My church, stop promoting yourselves.

Let, I the Lord Your God, stand where I am meant to stand. For I will not stand for pride. I will not stand for man stealing My Glory.

I love each and every one so much, and I long to have all in relationship with Me. I want My name taken to every inch of the earth, so all may know My saving grace. I want My church to take My Name to the world. To promote My Name, not their own.

A Word of Prophecy for America

My dear American Friends,

The events in your country have been on my heart. This morning I felt the Lord was speaking the following word to your nation. I am not a person who sends out prophetic words at the drop of a hat, but this is heavy on my heart. I know that many have spoken into this area, and that many have recognized the sin of the nation, but it seems that God is saying here that the root is much deeper. It may seem easy for me to say these things from here on the other side of the world in Australia (although I believe judgement is heading for this nation also), but perhaps it had to be someone from outside of your country to say this.

Any way, here it is. Please feel free to judge it, and if you believe it is God please feel free to forward it to whomever you feel you should.

I am contending with The United States America.

I raised this nation from its birth. I tended it and cared for it, I clothed it in beauty and arrayed it in finery. I brought it up to prominence, and placed it at the head of the nations, that it might show forth My glory and My truth to the nations, leading them in righteousness and the way of the Lord.

Instead, you have raised up an idol for yourselves, calling it “The United States of America”. You have placed it above My throne, and you have bowed before it and said, “Here, o citizens, is your god who has brought you out of captivity. Here is your god who has given you riches and power. Here is your god who shall rule your lives, and this god only shall you worship.” Like Nebuchadnezzar you have looked about you and said, “Look at this great empire that we have built for our glory.”

Instead of showing forth My glory to the nations, you have presented to them the glory of the USA. Instead of holding before them My righteousness, you have led them in your own corruption. Thus My Name has been blasphemed by the heathen on account of you. Even when I began to bring My warnings against you, you did not turn to Me, but to your idol and its strength, at the same time bowing before the god of the very nations that I had used against you, and those of the other nations of the world.

Know this: I am about to topple this god from its throne. I will no longer tolerate this god taking my place, and claiming for itself all that I have done for you. I will bring this god to destruction, that you may see that it is powerless before Me.

I call upon the people of this nation to turn from their idol, to turn to Me in brokenness and repentance, and to acknowledge that it is I alone who have brought them the freedom and prosperity they enjoy, not their idol the USA. I call on them to return to My righteousness and My truth, to give Me back My place in the institutions of this nation, and to return to basing the laws of this nation on My law. If you will turn as a nation in true repentance, if you will come back to Me, there is still time. I will yet separate this nation from its idol, and will raise this nation to be what I first intended for it to be.

Yet if you will not repent, if you will not separate yourselves from this idol, if you insist on continuing to find your identity in this idol instead of in Me, then I will destroy this nation along with the idol to which you have chosen to join yourselves. Choose now, for the time is very short. What you have seen so far has not been My judgment, but only My warnings. If you choose My judgment, you will find that my warnings will seem like flea bites in comparison.

I call upon My watchmen, I call upon those whom I have called to stand in the gap, to cry out to Me for this nation while there is still time. For the day is coming soon when I will shut the mouths of My intercessors, when My word to them will be “Do not pray any more to Me for this nation.” When I do, you will plead with Me for the chance to intercede for this nation, but it will be too late, and the blood of this nation will be upon your hands. Do not wait till then. Cry out to Me now.

What About Hurricane KATRINA?

In light of the recent tragedy in the Gulf States, I have been praying and asking God for clarification. What is He trying to say to His people? Why now, and why these people?

Of course, it is of the utmost importance that we intercede on behalf of those affected, both directly and indirectly, by this storm. We must supply aid and assistance as best we can. Most of all, we must provide spiritual guidance and encouragement. God is able to heal, set free and deliver, but some must be taught how to reach Him. This is our job - this is the church's responsibility.

Now, God has dealt with me concerning this tragedy, and I wish to share this information with you. As I stated, I've asked God "why" in so many ways. This is what the Lord said to me (paraphrased)...

Why are you alarmed? Why are you surprised? Is this not what my Word says? Did I not warn you of these things? You knew and you do know of things to come. Are you worried now because pestilence has come to your land?

There is more to come. Read my Word, and do not be alarmed. I have warned you. I have spoken to my prophets, though some of them do not obey me. Many of them have not said what I instructed them to say. Your job is to pray and repent. Always be ready. Repent and believe my Word. Repent and do my Word.

Judgment is upon the earth. The last days are at hand. Many will see death. Do not be alarmed and do not be afraid. Just be ready. Get your houses in order. Warn those around you. Then, you can rejoice in the days to come. To be absent from the body is to be present with me. These signs must come to pass.

Do not fear worldly tragedy. Fear for your soul. Seek salvation and bring others to me. Then, even in times of war and tragedy, you will be safe. Clean the blood from your hands. Warn men and women of me. Teach them my Word. Seek my face and pray for them. Warn them. It is my desire that everyone will come to repentance and follow me. Say what I have commanded you to say.

My God! The Lord is moving. As He reminded me, we should not be alarmed. Everything happening right now has been foreordained, and God has alerted His prophets. My heart truly goes out to those affected by the hurricaine. In my mind, my heart still hearts for those involved with the Sept 11 attacks, the tsunami, the bombings in London and many other things. People of God, be encouraged. We must rise up and love one another. Yet, we must be ready. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us, and more tragedy will come. Despite those things we cannot change, we do have control over our own salvation. Let's be obedient to our Father. Let's warn others and teach them of Jesus Christ. It's not about us. It's time for total sacrifice.

Whether we die in this world or are taken up with Christ, the day and hour are not known. We must be ready AT ALL TIMES. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

God is calling his prophets to SPEAK. Be obedient. In one moment, a simple act of disobedience may cost our lives and our salvation. Think on these things...

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
