Appointed to WAIT

Job 14:14

If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare and service I will wait, till my change and release shall come (AMP).

If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come (KJV).

In all that Job endured, he still had a willingness to simply wait on God. Oftentimes, in the midst of our situations, we find it difficult to exercise godly patience. We forget that our Father is not ruled by our sense of time, and we expect Him to operate according to our own guidelines.

In reading this Scripture today, God reminded me that we are to be holy, even as He is holy. We were made in His image, and should resemble God in the earth. With that said, how long has He had to wait for you?

Isn't it funny how God speaks to us and we ignore Him, sometimes for years? Yet, when we speak or call out to Him for help, we demand nothing less than immediate results. Where is our God-like patience?

This is a season to SEEK the face of God. Oftentimes, seeking takes time. It requires persistence - the same type of persistence our Father exercised when He waited patiently for hundreds of years, just to find His people still living in sin. He was so persistent in His desire to reconcile man back unto Himself, that He gave His only Son as an atonement for us. Where are those, in this season, who will continue in the battle until a change comes? Despite the circumstances, who will press on toward the prize? Will you wait, if necessary, until your change comes...knowing that with that change comes acceptance from your Heavenly Father? Selah.
