Life happens. As it does, people and situations make us angry. The Word of God instructs us to be angry and SIN NOT. A sign of maturity is a believer's ability to hold the tongue. Oftentimes, when our emotions fade and the Spirit of God reveals, we find the energy was wasted in wrath. We musn't be led of emotions, but by the Spirit of God. ORDER IN THE CHURCH!

Walking in Favor

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Do you KNOW God? Are you called for His purpose? Then, don't worry about it. Even those things, people and events that challenge us in life must bow to the will of God. Hallelujah! We all make mistakes, but God has ordered even those steps that cause us to trip, that they too will work in our favor. That's what a REAL relationship with God will do - FAVOR! Rejoice and thank our God! ORDER IN THE CHURCH!

Why Can't We All Just Get Along?

"Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits. Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

Why can't we all just get along? No matter what been done to us, we must be kind to others. Backbiting and unforgiveness are NEVER okay. People who truly love the LORD learn to be a peace with others. ORDER IN THE CHURCH!

Train Up a Child...

"Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."

I thank God for my children. They are very mannerly and well-behaved. Even more, they love God. It grieves me to see so many parents, in the church, who are turning away from biblical principles in raising th...eir children. Abuse is NEVER okay, but physical discipline birthed out of love is wisdom... and the Bible! Follow the word of God in ALL things. Tantrums, disobedience and rebellion are NOT okay, especially in God's house. Taking our children to the pastor for prayer every Sunday is not the answer, if we refuse to follow God's word in raising them. Time out is NOT in the word of God, I promise. ORDER IN THE CHURCH!

Can You Keep a Secret?

“When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. And when you fas...t, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you."

We all agree that these are times of prayer and fasting. Yet, hear the word of the LORD. We should be seeking HEAVENLY benefits. Therefore, we must be careful not to boast of these works, as it negates the purpose. It is a good thing to encourage one another in prayer and fasting. BUT, it is a prideful thing to boast in doing these works. The internet, including Facebook, Twitter and others, can quickly turn these intimate acts of worship and petition into boasting. We must be careful. Prayer and fasting are PRIVATE matters. It's no wonder we are so easily interrupted by the enemy and his plans, particularly when we tell the world what we're doing in the realm of spiritual warfare. Keep your battle plans SECRET. Amen. ORDER IN THE CHURCH!!!

There's POWER in Discipleship!

Luke 9:1-2 "Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick."

There is power in DISCIPLESHIP! You don't need a title or a certificate to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus sent His disciples (followers, students) to preach the Kingdom of God and bring souls into the Kingdom. Not only that, but they had POWER to heal the sick and were given AUTHORITY over devils. There are signs that follow those who BELIEVE (Mark 16:15-18).

Let's be released from the false doctrine that only those who carry ministry titles have spiritual power and authority. Remember, the Five-Fold/Ascension gifts, along with Bishops, Elders, etc. are called to the church. ALL DISCIPLES are called to the world - as salt and light. It's a NEW SEASON!

It's a Murderer

Today, I found myself just praying for the institution of the local church. I mourn for the acceptance of sin and egotistical leaders... And for those who haven't sought God enough to gain the discernment to know the difference between witchcraft and the miraculous.

"God, help! We need to experience TRUE revival, hearts that burn for You and satisfaction in those eternal things greater than what our eyes can see, our minds can imagine and our thoughts can lust over."

The LORD began to show me that the institute of the church is being used by the enemy to murder His own people. We have been warned that "...there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" (Matthew 24:24). After that reminder, this is the poem the Holy Spirit gave me to share...

It’s a murderer…

Stealing life to make oneself fat

At the expense of the innocent and young
Deceiving many and destroying hope
With a loose and violent tongue

Gathering those who are hurt and confused

Empty promises of hope and love
While all the time roaming as Satan’s wolves
Looking innocent as a dove

Abusing trust and stealing money

From those who work so hard
Then shunning those who choose to speak out with
“Touch not mine anointed, do my prophets no harm!”

Twisting scriptures and misquoting God’s word

To manipulate, abuse and control
While becoming idols and collecting fans in God’s house
To assist in playing a role

Creating a system of politics and fame

Hierarchies, titles and clichés
Yet forgetting the blood of our Savior and LORD
Shed to cleanse us from our evil ways

A murderer…

Could it really be the church?

Those who have forgotten the purpose for their call

The people God desires to use
Those who were instructed to teach and protect
Now will to neglect and abuse

Could it really be the saints?

Bishops, elders, deacons and the five-fold

Many turn to such destruction and shame
Quenching the Holy Ghost through lies and deceit
All for a popular name

Could it really be the ecclesia?

There were those who preached with boldness, strength

Messages full of conviction and power
Who now fulfill the prophetic words foretelling
That evil will rise in this hour

Could it really be the preachers?

Many who were true have now become false

Claiming Christ only when on stage
The same have caused God, who sits high on the throne
To bring judgment with His holy rage

A murderer…

The church could be, though the Church is not

So determine to which you belong
The true Body of Christ, the Bride of the King
Or the club that justifies its wrong

Religion or relationship, tradition or holiness

You have the freedom to make a choice
Will the true Church of God please stand up?
God REALLY wants to use your voice

To stop the murder… NOW!

Hurt Feelings Can Breed Blasphemy

Micah 3:5 (NLT)

This is what the LORD says:

“You false prophets are leading my people astray!
You promise peace for those who give you food,
But you declare war on those who refuse to feed you.”

Since early this morning, God has been telling me to declare these words to His people. He began reminding me of how easy it is for us to tie our emotions into ministry, rather than hearing and speaking by the Holy Ghost.

I began to think of all the times I’ve seen prophets prophesy according to their hearts. Just as it was in the days of Micah, so it is today in the church. We’ve all seen the faithful church members who were blessed while they served, and cursed as soon as they went away. For some reason, we have felt justified in blessing and cursing based on our own personal feelings about a person or a situation. God refers to those who do this as FALSE prophets and teachers.

The LORD is reminding us today of what a TRUE enemy is. An enemy is more than just someone who doesn’t agree with us. A true enemy is more than just someone who has made us angry or disappointed. A true enemy extends far beyond the mere realm of disagreement. Even more, just because someone is an enemy to us doesn’t necessarily mean he or she is an enemy to God.

Enemy = One who feels hatred toward, intends injury to, or opposes the interests of another; a foe; A person who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.

One who makes us angry is no more an enemy than one who makes us smile is a best friend. Anger does not give us the right to pass judgment. Neither does contentment or satisfaction give us the right to exalt. We must know one another by the spirit, not after the flesh! We must then act after the spirit, and speak as led of the Holy Ghost.

Many of us who claim the name of Christ have made a habit of rejoicing at the thought or idea that our enemies will be defeated. In our minds, that tends to mean God will set a table of blessings in the midst of those who disagree with us… God will make a footstool of those who don’t support my ministry… All who didn’t recognize my anointing will be cursed… No weapon, or rebuke – even when justified, formed against us will prosper… What do these things REALLY mean? It’s about more than just our preferences. Just because we don’t like a thing doesn’t mean it’s a weapon that won’t prosper.

My point is this. Many are allowing emotions to make their ministry FALSE. The integrity of many will be compromised due to emotional instability. High emotion is not the same as high anointing! That applies in praise, worship and every other facet of ministry, including our WORDS! Emotions are separating us from God when we speak things we feel, rather than what God said. Walking by the spirit requires that we be led by the Spirit, not our feelings. Selah.

Learn to Be STILL

Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

I am a person who likes to be busy. There’s something about doing lots of “stuff” that makes us feel useful and valuable. Yet, I hear God telling His people, “Learn to be STILL.”

Many of us were taught, through word or observation, that ministry is about busyness. We were taught to find something to do and do it. We were instructed to be “useful.” Nevertheless, in this season, God is saying that His people are doing too much. As my Apostle often says, we are moving with the arm of the flesh rather than by the Spirit of the living God!

Quite simply, if God didn’t say it, think twice before doing it. We are building so many works, claiming they are for the Kingdom of God, yet God has not signed the building permit. He has not ordained nor justified the work. It is, therefore, in vain.

Even in my own ministry, God is teaching me the more to sit in His presence. What some may view as a waste of time is actually an investment. It’s during those time of stillness and meditation that God reveals His secrets and unleashes His power. Sometimes, it’s okay to have nothing to do and nothing to say. It’s okay to sit and just listen… Let God move, and let Him get the glory!

Just last week, I was praying about many of the online ministry tools that I have used over the years. They are useful, yes, but God has had me in a place of calmness. I no longer feel the PUSH to publish a newsletter every month or post words of encouragement and prophecy every week. What some have seen as disorder is actually the fruit of God leading me the more. As I mature in the things of God, He’s not releasing me to speak to the Body of Christ just because it’s the first of the month anymore. He’s freeing me from the schedule and expectations of men.

Many have emailed or called making sure that I’m okay and “still in the game.” The truth of the matter is that I’m better than ever. God is perfecting me in certain areas so that I can become a master in my own arena rather than operating in the spirit as a “jack of all trades, and a master of none.” He is doing the same (or trying) with many…

In this season, God is specializing His people. Don’t be afraid to BE STILL in His presence. He really is taking us someplace higher! That means that a lot of things are being sloughed off in the spirit.

The Lord showed me an embryo. When a baby first begins to grow, he or she is mass of cells that continue to multiply. But, as that fetus matures, the cells begin to specialize. The move to different regions of the embryo. Some develop into the heart while others become a liver. Soon enough, the fetus begins to form a face. The baby grows until birth and suddenly has an identity.

This is what God is doing in the Body of Christ. He is maturing us as a Body. Therefore, every piece must specialize in its function and STAY THERE. When the lungs are breathing, the heart can’t leave the job of beating to go and try to breath. When a finger is severed, the tongue can’t just stop speaking to go and help pick up a piece of paper off the floor.

Teachers, stop trying to prophesy and let God perfect you as a teacher. Intercessors, pray and stop trying to build conferences. God wants to perfect you in prayer. Apostles, stop trying to teach Sunday school class. Let the teachers do that and you pray about the order of ministry. Let God perfect you in wisdom and power. This is a season of SPECIALIZING.

“Be still,” says the LORD. In our efforts to move and “do ministry” all over the place, we are causing great damage to the Body of Christ. Would you go to a cardiologist to have your teeth worked on? Would you visit a psychiatrist to have foot surgery? Selah.

· Matthew 6:33"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and allthese things shall be added unto you." In math, we were introduced to theORDER OF OPERATIONS. Unless you solve the problem in the right order, you willnot get the correct answer. Selah. It's a NEW SEASON!

· "When I wasa child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: butwhen I became a man, I put away childish things" (1 Corinthians 13:11).Strive to hear these words, in the Spirit... "My, how you've grown!"It's a NEW SEASON!

· WATCHMEN, wakeup! God is calling us to watch and pray, even in the night when sleep seems sosweet. WAKE UP! And if he shall come in the second watch,or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants."It's a NEW SEASON!

· ‎1 Corinthians4:20 "For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." Don'tjust talk, decree and declare... DO! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Hebrews 13:17AMP "Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them [continuallyrecognizing their authority over you], for they are constantly keeping watchover your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have torender an account [of their trust]. [Do your part to] let them do this withgladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable toyou [either]." KNOW your leaders. If they don't have time to KNOW you...pray for you... speak to you... counsel you... they are not YOUR leaders. It'sa NEW SEASON!

Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach allnations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of theHoly Ghost." What is the common theme? GO! People of God, it's time to getout of our comfort zones. Everyone wants to preach to church folk, but whereare the SOUL WINNERS? Who is going to save the lost? There's so much more toministry than another conference, blog, YouTube video or Bible study for the"saints"... It's a NEW SEASON!

· ‎1 Corinthians4:15-16 "For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet haveye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through thegospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me." Good spiritualleaders are hard to come by. When we have them, they should be respected andcherished, not ridiculed, challenged, abused or taken for granted. Believe itor not, there are still some good, sound holy preachers of the Gospel. They arecalled REMNANT, and God is pushing them forward. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Romans 10:14-15a"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and howshall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hearwithout a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" Beingtalented and having a gift is not good enough. Were you SENT by God? No suchthing as an anointed trespasser... It's a NEW SEASON.

· JESUS... Stillmy final answer!!!

· Hear the warningof the LORD - Isaiah 57:12 "I will expose your [pretended] righteousnessand your doings, but they will not help you." This is the season of theREAL... diamonds and pearls, rather than cubic zirconia and glass... In thespirit realm, stop everything that is not authentic. It won't help, anyway. Godis uncovering... It's a NEW SEASON!

· We must becareful not to share and brag about everything we do in ministry. It makes usan easy target for the enemy! Selah. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Deuteronomy10:17 "For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a greatGod, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor takethreward." We will learn that our God is indeed TERRIBLE. He is not to beplayed with. God is real. His mercy is plentiful, but His judgment isinevitable. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Don't get ittwisted... It's a NEW SEASON!

· "...all thedays of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come" (Job 14:14).Sometimes, the assignment is to WAIT, STAND and ENDURE. Don't be deceived...Don't miss God trying to be busy, though not led. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Intimacy inworship is PERSONAL. Not EVERYTHING that happens in the prayer closet is to berepeated. Some of that rebuke is for YOU. It's a NEW SEASON!

What Esteem Do You Have for Your Brother?

So by whatever [appeal to you there is in our mutual dwelling in Christ, by whatever] strengthening and consoling and encouraging [our relationship] in Him [affords], by whatever persuasive incentive there is in love, by whatever participation in the [Holy] Spirit [we share], and by whatever depth of affection and compassionate sympathy, Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention. Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves]. Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.

What esteem do you have for your brother?

In the Body of Christ, we often have a hard time understanding that others should always be regarded as “better than and superior” to ourselves. Such a mentality and esteem would certainly help us to remain humble.

Believe it or not, the Body of Christ should be serving one another, not JUST leaders. In fact, every leader called by God is a SERVANT LEADER, meaning that we must serve the same people we are called to lead. Humility is certainly a fine, but rare commodity in the church. Yet, it is necessary.

There is no room for ego within the realm of true anointing. There is no time for showboating within the realm of God’s dunamis power.

Here’s a challenge – Take at least one moment each day to encourage, serve and esteem someone else in the Body of Christ. Despite our own titles, positions, calls or anointings, let’s take at least one opportunity per day to get quiet and listen to someone else. Make someone else’s agenda more important.

AND DON’T COUNT IT AS WEAKNESS!

· Those who walk in KINGDOM AUTHORITY don't need carnal hook-ups! It's a NEW SEASON!

· “Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [unobtrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom.” James 3:13 (AMP) Enough said! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Nehemiah 8:10 "...for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength." Be STRONG in the LORD (Ephesians 6:10) on today. After all that I've been through, I still have JOY! Godliness with contentment is GREAT gain (1 Timothy 6:6)! If you are saved and HAPPY to serve our God, say AMEN!

· Psalm 42:11 "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." People of God, the spirit of depression is attacking the saints like never before. You better encourage YOURSELF in the Lord, by HIS WORD and give Him the praise ANYHOW! He's worthy! Rebuke that spirit. The joy of the LORD is your strength! I feel like preachin'!

· Mat 11:28-29 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me... and ye shall find rest unto your souls." I thank God for His REST! Hallelujah! There is JOY in following Christ. There is a REFUGE for those that seek Him. Come and exhale! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching." I'm excited about church today! As believers, assembly and fellowship with the saints is VERY important. Yes, you MUST go to church! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth..." To be ashamed means "reluctant to do something through fear of embarrassment or humiliation (Google dictionary). Have you changed your message to please others, get an "Amen" or raise a large offering? No more! When the shame leaves, the POWER will be manifested! It's a NEW SEASON!

· I'm not a politician. I don't always say or do the right thing. I am often misunderstood. I am nothing, but with Christ, I can do all things. I love God and I love His people. My desire is to bring Him glory with my life. That's all. I can't and don't do "churchology", just holiness. Plain and simple... love for the Father. I know who I am, because I know the I AM. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Matthew 15:32 "Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat..." LEADERS, let's not forget that Jesus had compassion for those that followed Him. He was aware of both their spiritual and natural needs. Those we lead and teach are REAL PEOPLE with real feelings, real needs and real thoughts. We must never forget these are GOD's people, precious and special. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Jeremiah 18:6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel." God makes, calls and sends us according to His own will, not our own. Self-appointment will never please God! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Exodus 33:14-15 "And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here!" I refuse to move without the presence of God! It's a NEW SEASON!

· I thank GOD for the day I met the best preacher and teacher in the world... the greatest apostle and prophet... the most active evangelist and miracle-worker... a friend and a comforter... The only person I want to emulate and duplicate... JESUS CHRIST! There's nobody like Him, though I'll spend my life trying to be just like Him. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Exodus 33:14-15 "And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here!" If only we would refuse to move without the presence of God! Selah. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). "COEXIST" is an impossibility. No one can live by "many teachers". Make a decision for CHRIST today. It's impossible for "all the teachers" to be right. After all Buddha is dead. Mohammad is dead. Shall I go on? I have proof that my God lives - I speak to Him and hear His voice everyday. His word is true. Decision made! Selah.

· Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you]."

· ‎2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Make preparation for the healing. It's a NEW SEASON!

· OBSERVATION TIME: I decided to visit a number of websites today. I'm often late to fulfill the invitations. What I see, though, is quite disturbing. So many sites for "ministry" that really share no Gospel at all. So many are just full of bios, resumes and egos... It's idolatry on the web! People of God, let's use the resources God has given us to glorify HIM! If we want our own websites for self-glory, let's not call it "ministry." It's a NEW SEASON!

· Deuteronomy 18:18 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." Notice, the prophet speaks ONLY what God gives and commands... Not what he wishes, thinks or wants in his own flesh. Back to the basics! It's a NEW SEASON!

· ‎2 Peter 1:20 "[Yet] first [you must] understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is [a matter] of any personal or private or special interpretation (loosening, solving)." Revelation is given by the Holy Ghost, and He is NOT schizophrenic. When we preach the Gospel, somebody, somewhere should have some agreement. Teachers and preachers MUST be able to take rebuke and correction. Don't become a cult leader... It's a NEW SEASON!

· Galatians 4:16 - "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" If the truth of God's word makes you uncomfortable, don't get too comfortable with me. It's a NEW SEASON!

· John 6:60 (AMP) "When His disciples heard this, many of them said, This is a hard and difficult and strange saying (an offensive and unbearable message). Who can stand to hear it? [Who can be expected to listen to such teaching?]" When you preach truth, it won't always be received. People will say you are too "hard, strict, particular..." Jesus also preached an "offensive and unbearable message," but it was that message that brought life! DON'T SELL OUT! It's a NEW SEASON!!!

· Lamentations 2:14 "Your prophets have predicted for you falsehood and delusion and foolish things; and they have not exposed your iniquity and guilt to avert your captivity [by causing you to repent]. But they have divined and declared to you false and deceptive prophecies, worthless and misleading." The TRUE prophetic will also lead to repentance... not earthly gain. Prophecy that neglects repentance, correction and instruction is divination. It's a NEW SEASON!

· I am not a motivational speaker... Not a life coach nor a gospel entertainer... I am a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It's not due to my education, good works or any other qualification, but only by the grace of God. Lord, I thank you, and the least I can give is my life. Here I am... use me! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Acts 19:15 "And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?" Does hell know your name? Selah. It's a NEW SEASON!

· JESUS... still my final answer!

· Romans 11:4 "But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal." People of God, walking in the boldness of the Holy Ghost and the integrity of God is often lonely. Nevertheless, never forget that God has a remnant. We cannot allow our persecutions and loneliness to transform into pride. It's a NEW SEASON!!!

· ‎1 Cor 7:4 says "The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife." The two have become one, and that's a GOOD thing. We don't become any less by having a good marriage, inclusive of true love and SUBMISSION. It really is a GOOD thing... Don't let pride rob you of a good marriage in this NEW SEASON!!!

· A question was asked of me this morning, "How many souls have you led to Christ this month?" What a sobering thought. The same should be asked each week and each day. This is the measure of our success in ministry. Who has turned to or been restored to Christ, based on our ministry? It's a NEW SEASON.

· John 8:31-32 "Then said Jesus... If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." We must DO His Word to belong to Him... Today, let's pray for those who have an identity crisis. Selah.

· We must always remember that GOD wants things done decently and in order. He sends His rebuke, because He loves us. It should be embraced, that we can grow in Him. Truly, if we understand the call of the Apostles and the Prophets, we will expect and receive God's instruction through them. Selah. Long story short... Don't invite God's mouthpiece if you don't want to hear His instruction. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Colossians 2:16-17 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ". Get FREE! Enough said... It's a NEW SEASON!

· "Live as though CHRIST died yesterday, rose from the grave today and is coming back tomorrow" - Theodore H Epp (Founder of Back to the Bible). It's a NEW SEASON!

Walk Off the Cliff... By Faith, Not by Sight!

While in prayer, the LORD showed me a vision that I must share concerning faith and obedience.

In the vision, He first showed me an army. There were thousands of men, lined up in perfect rows. They were armed with swords and shields. When the General gave them orders to march, they began moving, as a group, toward a cliff.

The army marched, as they were ordered, and men on the first few rows began marching right off the cliff, which appeared to be very steep. The strange thing to me was that the men in the back didn’t stop, though they saw others go over. Though they were faced with death, they kept moving.

The LORD began to speak to me about His people. He said that the Church, in this season, is afraid of what the world sees as death and defeat. When God gives us orders, we see a cliff and halt. Yet, a soldier understands that orders should be obeyed at every cost.

I was astounded at the obedience of the men. They walked right off the cliff, in unison, as they were directed. Then, the LORD showed me the same scene at a different angle. When I was able to look behind the cliff, I saw the army of the enemy at the base. The cliff that the soldiers walked over appeared to be hundreds of feet steep from the first view. Now, I saw it was more like 8 feet steep – just deep enough for the soldiers to disappear as they walked off.

Then, I saw that as they walked off the cliff, they trampled on the enemy’s heads. Glory to GOD!

Fear is the enemy to obedience, and obedience is the foundation to faith. God is trying to take the Body of Christ to a place of spiritual power, so we cannot allow physical, natural cliffs to hinder us. Trust God. He is greater!

Possessing Worthy Fruit

Luke 3 (AMP)

7 So he said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, You offspring of vipers! Who secretly warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

8 Bear fruits that are deserving and consistent with [your] repentance [that is, conduct worthy of a heart changed, a heart abhorring sin]. And do not begin to say to yourselves, We have Abraham as our father; for I tell you that God is able from these stones to raise up descendants for Abraham.

9 Even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees, so that every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

10 And the multitudes asked him, Then what shall we do?

11 And he replied to them, He who has two tunics (undergarments), let him share with him who has none; and he who has food, let him do it the same way.

12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized, and they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do?

13 And he said to them, Exact and collect no more than the fixed amount appointed you.

14 Those serving as soldiers also asked him, And we, what shall we do? And he replied to them, Never demand or enforce by terrifying people or by accusing wrongfully, and always be satisfied with your rations (supplies) and with your allowance (wages).

15 As the people were in suspense and waiting expectantly, and everybody reasoned and questioned in their hearts concerning John, whether he perhaps might be the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

16 John answered them all by saying, I baptize you with water; but He Who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of Whose sandals I am not fit to unfasten. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

One thing is sure and has not changed with time - Actions still speak louder than words! John the Baptist, as he is preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ, greets those who have come to be baptized with a word of correction and rebuke. In fact, he requests of them the source of their "secret" acquisition of information concerning Christ. John is clearly very serious about Christ and very adamantly against the false and empty religious actions of the people.

In verse 8, he demands something interesting of the people... that they bear fruit! Oftentimes, in the Body of Christ, we are very quick to refer to ourselves and others as "saved", "born again", "believers" or even "man/woman of God." Nevertheless, we fail to examine the FRUIT.

Jesus taught very clearly that a tree is known by its fruit. So, why have we forsaken the judgment of the same? John requires those who have been baptized to bear fruit that is both worthy and consistent with repentance. In other words, they MUST DO SOMETHING! These people understood that to follow Christ, things must change. They clearly recognized that requirements came with the claim of salvation.

In fact, the Scripture goes on to say that many of those meeting John recognized their faults and asked him, "What shall we do?" He responded with actions of change. Deal honestly, give to others, love your neighbor. We see these same teachings later echoed by Jesus Christ, Himself.

There is a huge debate in the Body of Christ about the use of titles, but I submit that we should take yet another step back. The greatest title to wear is that of a Christian, someone who follows Christ. Yet, this title is almost never contested. People wear it and claim it, but often lack the fruit that comes with it. Let us examine ourselves today. Do we bear fruit that is worthy of and consistent with repentance? Do we allow those that surround us to claim the name of Christ without challenging them to look like Christ? Selah.

Subtle Distractions of the Enemy

Over the weekend, the Lord spoke a very strong warning to me about two spirits that are rampant in the church - offense and flattery. The enemy is using these weapons against God's people, because they easily distract us from the work of the ministry. We must mature to a place where we are able to see and discern in the spirit. Too many of us are getting caught up with the person, and missing the spirit and intent of a thing.

Offense makes us angry and bitter. It causes us to dwell on insignificant issues. Flattery makes us prideful and comfortable. It causes us to lose our sense of urgency about the things of God. Discernment is key! Watch our for flattery and offense in this season.

Mark 13:37 "And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

My Apostles Take Ownership

Just needed to share some quick thoughts, as God is speaking...

After battling with false apostles for the last few weeks, God spoke to me very clearly this morning about the fruit of TRUE apostles. He said, "My Apostles take ownership."

Rather than giving me one particular scripture to reflect on, the Lord told me to look at the example provided by Paul. Not only did he travel preaching the word of God, but he provided static oversight to the churches. He wrote them letters and sent his own students and spiritual sons as leaders among them. He had accountability to those he oversaw and they, in turn, were also accountable to him. When Paul spoke, the people listened. When he rebuked, things changed.

We see, in this season, many walking as apostles with no accountability to a body of believers... a local church. Quite simply, this is not biblical. While an apostle does not have to be a pastor, they are accountable to at least one body. While traveling and preaching, there should be churches, ministries or some combination of those accountable to them as well. A true apostle understands the need for corporate worship and fellowship with the saints. Simply traveling and preaching, without ownership in building the Kingdom of God, is not the call. That is indeed a preacher, but the call of an apostle is much greater.

Let us be careful and mindful that all called by the spirit of Christ have accountability and a clear purpose - to build God's Kingdom and raise up His people. It's a simple responsibility, and should not be tainted by "deep" nonsense.

Spiritual Lesbianism - An Epidemic in the Church

A much-needed repost... God first gave me this word in 2007...

I have struggled with this message since Monday when I first began hearing God speak it. It is a sticky, difficult topic, but I must be obedient and share as I have been instructed. During corporate prayer, I distinctly heard God say, “The spirit of lesbianism is rampant in the church.” We discussed it briefly following prayer, but God has continued to speak on the subject, and I must share what He has given me, though this is a hard word – even for me to swallow.

All that God said particularly caught my attention, because He said “lesbianism” rather than homosexuality. I had to get further clarification on why He used this term. I took the message as a general one for the Body of Christ, but God said this message is a direct one for those in my sphere of influence – those with whom I interact on a daily basis. In that case, mostly women...

One of the first indications of lesbianism is the denial of natural affection. “I don’t need a man. A woman can do anything a man can do. I can take care of myself.” There is a polluted level of independence that moves beyond the natural tendency, causing a woman in the natural to dismiss what God has designed – the union between a man and a woman. Essentially, women in the church are doing the same thing as women in the world – denying the dependence God has ordained.

Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Yes, God has shown me and rehearsed the conversations in my ears. “I don’t need a Pastor or a covering. I operate in all the gifts. I can do ministry all by myself.” Many are moving outside of God’s natural order – outside of what God has designed for the Church. Even in the realm of partnered ministry, many women in particular are dismissing the mandate on their husband’s lives. Pulpits are becoming divided. How many churches have we seen pastored by a man or a couple when suddenly the wife has a television show titled “Her Name” Ministries? Why the division and the need to be separate from the unity God has put in place? Ladies, why have we adopted the lie that we must walk alone in order to prove our strength? Why do we feel that we can only trust one another with what God has given us? Why are we threatened to submit to the men God has placed over us, whether they be in ministry or our own homes?

Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

I understand there are times when God will call a woman out for spiritual or ministerial service. There are situations when a man in a relationship may not be at the same level spiritually as the woman or vise versa. NO EXCUSE. In fact, this used to be my excuse for many of the things I did to “overstep” my husband’s position as head of the household. God’s response – “YOU married him. By doing so, YOU submitted to the authority.” Yes, the same holds true in the church. When we feel our leaders are out of line or that they have “missed God”, we take it upon ourselves to overstep their authority or step out into our own ministries, without their covering and without accountability. We then justify it by saying they are not in God’s will. The word of God remains the same. This is the season to LEAVE or CLEAVE. Stop bashing, insulting and criticizing those to whom you can’t submit. God is saying the same thing. “YOU decided to make covenant with that body of believers. In doing so, YOU agreed to submit to the authority.”

We spend too much time justifying disobedience by exploiting what we consider to be the sins and shortcomings of our leaders in the spiritual and the natural. Oftentimes, men are the target of this ridicule. Either way, it is out of order. Instead, we should be asking God to reveal our own character. If, in fact, they are so wrong and flawed, what made us CHOOSE to enter the covenant? Even more, where is the POWER we should have to bring change to that situation? Are we so special and holy – are our ministries so sanctified that God will excuse us from His plan, allowing just a select few to defy authority and step into the spotlight, leaving behind the ones we agreed to follow?

Women of God, let’s be careful not to leave God’s plan and order – naturally or spiritually – as they are both against the nature and will of our Father. The spirit of lesbianism is being manifested and is running rampant in the church. Do not be a carrier, but work to restore order in your homes and the Body of Christ.

Spiritual lesbianism is a serious ordeal, and it is rampant – not only in the organization of the church, but on the internet. The internet is flowing with “lack of order” because accountability cannot be mandated. The internet can be hidden. One’s true identity, motives and emotions can be covered up. This is a season of exposure. Some of us need to return to what God has ordained. Natural order has been abandoned. Many are more accountable to an email inbox than to spouses and pastors. We feel that reading a message board is ministry. We allow Yahoo! Chat rooms to take the place of prayer. Hmmm… Fellowship is good, but there must be balance. We must use this tool to glorify our Father, not to defy Him or His order. Submission must return to the Body of Christ, and it must be done in God’s order. Women of God, YES, we must submit to our husbands. YES, we must submit to the Church as God has ordained it. NO, we cannot do this alone. NO, we are not called out alone. What good is your elevation if you have brought no one along? Selah!

1Co 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Just Stick Around

Ruth 1:16

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Naomi was a faithful woman of God who, like many of us, had a moment of tragedy in her life. After losing her husband and two sons, she is left with her daughters in law, who also have no children or inheritance. She encourages Orpah and Ruth to return to their homeland, as they are Moabites. Their families worship other gods and observe other practices. Despite her coaching, one decides to stick around – Ruth.

As the story progresses, we find that Ruth is able to take advantage of kinsman redemption. Her tenacity and willingness to press on, even when times got rough, eventually reaped a reward on her behalf.

As the people of God, we must learn to stand in midst of tragedy, turmoil and tests. Too often, we give up because things don’t go the way we planned. Once our situations look bleak, we assume that God has forgotten about us. We must remember that this race must be completed. We cannot afford to grow weary in well-doing, when the promise is only to those that endure until the end.

No matter what you may be going through, always remember to do what is right… not just what is easiest. Your redemption lies in your obedience. Press through and move forward, even when things get rough! Let’s stop proclaiming that God “changed His mind” just because we are dealing with trials and challenges. Our steps are ordered, including the ones we don’t like!

Ask yourself today… Am I an Orpah or a Ruth?

SELAH Moments

Just a few short thoughts the LORD has given me to share over the last few weeks...

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..." (Romans 1:16). For the record... I am a PREACHER of the Gospel... I'm not a life coach, motivational speaker or entrepeneural guide... I preach the GOSPEL, plain and simple. If you are a preacher that will not compromise your message for a check or acceptance by the world, say AMEN. It's a NEW SEASON!!!

"“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Cor 6:19-20). Praise and worship are completed with our spirits AND our bodies. Zip it up, strap it down, tuck it in... whatever we must to ensure God gets the glory...not our flesh! Remember, a "diva" is a demon! Look it up... It's a NEW SEASON!

"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour" (Romans 13:7). Those who serve deserve our honour... We may not always agree, but that doesn't take away from what they are due. Enough said! It's a NEW SEASON!!!

"Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" (1 Corinthians 15:33). Be careful who and what you entertain... what you say AND what or who you listen to. It's a NEW SEASON!!!

"And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand" (Mark 3:24-25). Like it or not, we must work together. We agree that Jesus is Lord, so why can't we all just get along? Let's just lock arms and build the Kingdom. It's a NEW SEASON!

"Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord" (1 Cor 9:1-2). Let your ministry speak for you. It's God who ordains and vindicates. Do the work of the ministry and operate in the power of God... Don't sweat the "small" stuff. It's a NEW SEASON!!!

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matt 5:16). I am determined, TODAY, to do something that brings glory to the Father. People are watching us, so let's make Abba, Daddy proud! It's a NEW SEASON!!!

John 4:44 says, "For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country." I know that 'church hurt' is some of the worst hurt there is, but I still believe the sting of family aches deeper. Lord, help me with those I love, though they just don't understand. Help me with those who want to judge my every step, but refuse to yield to You. It hurts, but this time, I don't have time to slow down. It's a NEW SEASON!

People of God, be VERY careful about letting people who were NOT called to be who you are tell you how to be who you are. Godly counsel is always good, but you must know who you are in God. If the advisor were an expert, they would be doing this... not you. Be led of God and walk out the ministry God has assigned to you! It's a NEW SEASON!

Isaiah 6:8 "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." Does anybody else feel God PUSHING? Time to get out of our comfort zones. Yes, Lord, I'll GO! It's a NEW SEASON!!!

Revival Tsunami

God has been speaking to me about a NEW SEASON. So often, this has been just a saying, but I literally feel the push of God... moving me into a new realm of the Spirit.

Tonight, in prayer, the Lord revealed to me a warning about the coming revival. IT IS COMING, but it will be different. This is a powerful move of God, so the flesh and those natural treasures we hold so dear cannot be included.

After praying, I saw a vision of a huge wall of water... hundreds of feet high. All around me, people were running and screaming, "It's a tsunami! Run for your life!" Interestingly enough, I wasn't afraid. I couldn't even move. I was in awe. I just stared at the wall of water and said, "Wow, God!" I was in so much peace. I knew I was safe.

Then, the Father said:
"Revival will hit like a tsunami, with no warning. There will be no time for fear. It will either kill you or consume you. Those who receive will be refreshed, but it will destroy everything not like Me. Let it go. Do not fret over what I destroy. The storm brings joy, power and purity. They will say you were destroyed, but you will know you were revived."

To GOD be the glory! God has even been speaking about fear of the unknown. If we pray for Him to do a "new thing," we cannot be afraid when He performs it! We must discern and move in faith, being led of the Holy Ghost. We must also know that purging comes before the power! I'm ready for a new season. I am not afraid of the tsunami and the storm. I am at peace, and I thank my God!

Mail Order Covering?

I am praying for ORDER to be restored in the Body of Christ, wherever it may be missing. I've been very disturbed to find that even some I know in ministry are being "virtually covered" in their ministries. The anointing and accountability REQUIRE RELATIONSHIP!

You cannot "buy" a "covering". God must set you in divine relationship in order for you to have true accountability. PLEASE, let's stop taking classes and paying fees to get "covered". These are not Apostles, but merely bill collectors who will loan you their name without covenant... AKA PIMPS. In the Body of Christ, you cannot be "covered" without relationship! We must know them that labor among us…

Let's fix this! No wonder there is so much confusion in the Body of Christ. We cannot choose our own leaders... they must be ordained by God. We can't leave every time we get upset or want to be ordained with a new title.

Wow! I'm praying...

REPENTANCE is Needed in the USA

Yesterday, as we celebrated the independence of our country for the 235th time, the Lord instructed our church to come together and pray for this nation. During that time of prayer, I was burdened with what He released.

We cried out on behalf of this country, lifting up our soldiers who are fighting overseas. We prayed for the children in the nation and their education. We cried out for those who are imprisoned and the many who have suffered through natural disasters. Yet, in the midst of those prayers, God stopped me. He instructed me to continue crying out and travailing for the sins of the country, but He also said, “My judgment must come upon this land.”

God began to remind me that while these United States have judged and criticized other countries for their radical Muslim ties, communist governments, malicious governments and so forth, we have turned away from the godly standards that we so arrogantly use to judge others. We claim to be a moral nation, and somehow expect others to do the same when we welcome divorce, rationalize homosexuality, legalize the murder of unborn babies and even protect those that choose to do it. In this country, we award fathers who refuse to take care of their children and applaud men who choose to take multiple wives. Reality TV is a reflection of our twisted morals and fleshly appetites. Think about the movies, the music, the entertainment produced in THIS country. Does it really represent God?

The Father took me to Psalm 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

“Do not consider yourselves to be exempt from My judgment,” He said. “I am a merciful God, but I am a just judge.”

The Lord went on to remind me that He always reserves a remnant and will certainly protect His own. However, He instructed me as a prophet to warn the nation that destruction is coming. The country that once claimed to serve God has now pushed His people into the minority. This is no longer a Christian nation. While founded on Christian principles, we have abandoned that which is holy on a large scale. As a nation, even the USA must be judged.

During that time, I saw an attack on New York. I don’t know exactly what took place, but there was panic and lots of water. We know and prophecy in part, so I continue to pray for clarity. I also encourage other prophets to cry aloud, and begin to warn the people. Don’t hold back on what God is trying to reveal through you.

I am asking that all God’s people continue to pray and cry out for this nation. This is a season of evangelism, like never before. Even last week, God placed a HEAVY burden on my heart for domestic missions. Other nations need God, certainly. But in the USA, there is a need that far exceeds that of Africa, Asia or even the Middle East. God revealed to me that they have a made up mind. Here, at home, we are deceived and the presence of the enemy is much stronger... much more deceptive... and ACCEPTED!

Leave or Cleave

Believe it or not, this post is NOT about marriage. Instead, it’s about partnership in ministry – involvement in and commitment to the local church. Many years ago, as God was teaching me about faithfulness and service in my local church, He spoke very clearly to me and said, “Your commitment to your leaders is much like that of a marriage. You must leave or cleave.”

What did that mean? God was explaining to me that we are accountable to our leaders. We must be obedient and we must prove ourselves as good servants. In the same manner, we are also to be good stewards over all God has placed in us. At the end of the day, there is a choice to be made, and that choice is very serious.

Many in the body of Christ spend their time fighting with, disobeying, disrespecting and talking about their leaders. Somehow, many feel that pointing out the wrong in leadership somehow justifies their own defiant behavior – not so!
The word of God gives us a wise and spiritually mature antidote. Leave or cleave!

There are cases where the churches and leadership we sit under may be corrupt and outside the will of God. In these cases, there is a responsibility to bring forth those concerns in order and according to the word of God (Matthew 18:15-20; 1 Thessalonians 5:11-13). If those actions do not result in change, we must then consider whether or not we are to be part of the solution or will become part of the problem. If no change is in sight, it’s time to be a good steward over what God has placed in you. You are not to be a partaker in that which is truly evil (Psalm 1:1). The WRONG thing to do would be to sit and become bitter and rebellious. This causes division in the Body and will not be rewarded by God.

In most cases, the assignment is to understand that disagreements may occur, but God still works through people! We may not always agree with our leaders, but the word of God is clear – we should honor and obey them (Hebrews 13:17). This is a direct commandment from the Lord.

It’s interesting to me how people who claim to be so unhappy with a leader or a church will refuse to separate themselves. Could it be that they are aware of God’s assignment – that they were sent to learn something? Could it be that despite their flesh, they realize that spiritually they are growing and don’t want to miss the next big thing? Or, could it be that while the grass looks greener on the other side, they know the work required to “start over” would be too great?

Whatever the case may be, it’s very DANGEROUS to sit in a ministry, disrespect the leaders, disregard accountability and cause division. You have become a worker of iniquity. You are now a burden on God’s people, leadership and laity alike. You are literally hindering the spiritual growth of others – what a great offense in the sight of God! It is better to LEAVE and sever your tenure than to remain in disobedience, carrying a spirit of witchcraft.

This topic is one that must be discussed in the Body of Christ. How can we walk together, if we don’t agree (Amos 3:3)? I have been in situations when I didn’t completely agree with a leader or person of authority. Yet, God did not allow me a pass to sin, simply because of my disagreement. Instead, I was still required to serve and obey. Not every disagreement means the other person is in sin or in error. Instead of being so quick to judge, we should just seek God and think… If God loves ME so much, why would He send me to someone who is wicked? After all, we often confess that God sent us! We should ask God to reveal the root of the issue. If this is not of Him, what in me is attached? If is it of Him, what in me needs to get in line?

People of God, we are blessed to be free… Flourish where God has placed you and thank Him for the connection, or leave any place where you feel God is not… Plain and simple!

A few thoughts about which to pray and ponder…

· "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" (1 Cor 15:33). Be careful... your associations DO matter! Remember Achan? It's a NEW SEASON!

· "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Colossians 2:9). Everyone has an opinion or idea, but there must be NO TOLERANCE for compromise. The word of God is true. We must follow Christ, no matter how good the alternative may sound. It's a NEW SEASON!!!

· "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15; Ref.21). Our actions speak louder than our words. We can argue all day long, but if we fail to keep the commandments of God, we don't love Him and His love is not with us. This world is in trouble... we MUST get back to obeying GOD! It's a NEW SEASON...let's not take this one for granted!

· "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful" (Psalm 1:1). People of God, be careful who you're connected too. There are way too many SCORNFUL people in the body, and they are causing division. Don't entertain demons, and certainly don't befriend them. It's a NEW SEASON!!!

· It's impossible to support "gay marriage", because there is no such thing! God defined marriage as the union between one man and one woman...period!

· "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." (Matt 5:11-12). Wow! I am TRULY BLESSED and MY REWARD IS GREAT!!! LOL! It's a NEW SEASON!!!

· "Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure" (1 Tim 5:22). Many believe that an abundance of followers will make them a great leader. Leaders, remember that those you ordain and send forth reflect back on YOU, in the sight of both God and men. This is not a popularity contest! It's a NEW SEASON!

· Timothy was warned about the woes of the last days - people turning to fables, losing faith, and chasing entertainment... "But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" (2 Tim 4:5). Ministers and leaders of God, let's be reminded of the instruction to WATCH, ENDURE, WORK, EVANGELIZE and PROVE in the ministry! It's a NEW SEASON!

· "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chron 7:14). Humility, prayer and repentance... That's what we need in the NEW SEASON!!!

· "Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men" 1Thessalonians 5:14. People of God, let's remain humble. God doesn't send us leaders because we're so special... but often because we are unruly, feebleminded and/or weak. Let's get delivered! It's a NEW SEASON!

· When asked the question, "Does it take all that?", my response must be YES... and then some! There must be preparation for EVERY sacrifice! It's a NEW SEASON!

· "Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called" (1 Cor 7:20). Now is the time to STAY IN YOUR LANE. Be obedient to what God has called YOU to do! It's a NEW SEASON!

· "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins" (Isaiah 58:1). A prophet is sent to correct, encourage, instruct and build...not LIE! Real prophets tell the TRUTH, as instructed by God... Our Father wants His people to be holy! It's a NEW SEASON, and I refuse to be a lying prophet!

· "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning" (Ps 30:5). Don't give us just yet! This too shall pass. It's a NEW SEASON!

· ‎1 Thessalonians 5:11-13 If I walk with you in ministry, I WILL NOT receive the word of the accuser when I truly know you by the Spirit. We must trust the God in our co-labourers in Christ and stop assuming the worst. Offense, especially when unfounded, is a trick of the enemy. Don't bite! It's a NEW SEASON!

· "And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord" (Luke 1:45). God will indeed PERFORM His word! Do you believe it? If so, be a LIGHT. God's CAMERA is recording your ACTION! Let Him perform a work in YOU! It's a NEW SEASON!!!

· "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding" (Proverbs 4:7). Ignorance is not an excuse! Seek God and you shall find Him! If you lack wisdom, ask and He'll give it to you (James 1:5) It's a NEW SEASON!

· Despite my enemy and all his imps... I CHOOSE TO WORSHIP! Hallelujah! It's a NEW SEASON!

· "But godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Tim 6:6); "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content" (Phil 4:1). Saints of GOD, let's STOP COMPLAINING so much! We all have struggles and we all have pain, but GOD is faithful. Don't make Him seem like a dead-beat dad! It's a NEW SEASON!

Pray for Our Men this Father's Day!

As we celebrate fathers in the season, we must pray and intercede on behalf of God's men. As a woman in ministry, I am often challenged with the balance of authority and order.

The word of God tells us that there is neither male nor female in the spirit (Galatians 3:28). What does that mean? It means that through Christ, God is able and willing to use any of us, regardless of sex, origin, economic status or any other factor aside from holiness. This is simply the fulfillment of His promise, that His spirit would be poored out on all flesh (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17).

Still, we must not forget the order of God. Certainly, God gifts and uses women in the ministry and has enabled us to prosper in the world alike. But, does this give us the authority and freedom to dismiss the men of God? God forbid!

I am 100% certain of my call and assignment as a prophet and a pastor. I am also 100% certain of my husband's place in my life. He is my leader, called to love me as Christ loves the church. He grants me the grace to move forward, but I always esteem him as the final authority. He is the priest in my house, regardless of the gifts I have been afforded. At the end of the day, I NEED MY HUSBAND! We are one, and without him, I cannot fulfill the call of God on my life.

The enemy has been busy building a spirit of feminism in the church, but this is certainly NOT of God. In fact, the same spirit that fuels lesbianism will fuel the thought that women of God "don't need a man." Yes, SPIRITUAL LESBIANISM. It's the concept and idea that God's natural order can be abandoned to fulfill a lustful sense of freedom. Beware of that cunning and crafty spirit.

True and strong women of God are not intimidated by the idea of God's men taking their rightful places. In the same manner, a strong and confident man of God is able to flow by the Spirit of God without muting the gifts of God's woman in his life.

The Church must return to God's divine order. Men of God, TAKE YOUR PLACE! Don't wait for it to be handed to you on a platter. Use your authority to walk in your rightful position with God!

Men, you are the stronger vessel. You were created and ordained by God to be the head. So, take your place in the home and in the church. We need you there!

For those men who walk in your divine assignment, remain encouraged. Your strength and anointing are building a generation of restorers in the Church. To GOD be the glory!

Just a few thoughts of encouragement during this, A NEW SEASON…

· "For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?" (1 Cor 4:7) Leaders, let's not be so haughty and arrogant. It's a NEW SEASON!

· People of God, let's honour our leaders by respecting their money, time, personal space and privacy. Oftentimes, we forget that they also have families, their own bills and require rest. Be mindful, that they are not abused for taken for granted. Honour is more than giving praise... it's also allowing one to have privacy and time enough for their own personal relationship with God. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Many say their gifts are prostituted by the local church. Now is the time to take responsibility and become a good steward over what God has given you. When God's people use their gifts to build the Kingdom rather than to entertain, things will change! It's a NEW SEASON!

· People of God, if you have a pastor and/or spiritual leader, that person should be a resource for you. If every time the enemy attacks, you have to call someone else, there is a problem. Don't tax to anointing on others only to run back to the abuse from which you desired to be healed. It's a NEW SEASON!

· Don't judge others by their pasts. It's amazing how God will use that very thing to make them great! God can redeem others, just as He's redeemed you. The latter shall be greater... It's a NEW SEASON!

· Pastors, don't be discouraged. If you have given your all, but been trampled upon, GIVE MORE! If you have prayed and cried, only to watch them turn away from God, PRAY MORE! It's a NEW SEASON!

· If you don't want the truth, don't ask a prophet! "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" Galatians 4:16.

· PROPHETS, let me help you as I help myself. You are called to speak as God unctions you to speak. The truth of the mind and heart of God often includes correction. Just because a word is sharp doesn't mean it is "without love." Loving God's people means telling the truth. Where in the Bible was a prophet ever called to preach only words of inspiration, wealth and celebration? Selah.

· DO NOT FEAR! This is the season for God's people to stand up in the power of the Holy Ghost. When you serve the true and living God, there is no reason to fear anyone or anything else. Don't be weak. Don't back down. STAND! Psalm 127

· Wow! Garner has an American Idol. This town is on fire. I'm excited for him, because he's a nice, decent, Christian young man. Now, what if we could get a whole town this excited about Jesus??!! Not trying to damper a good night... I'm just saying!

· God requires excellence in worship and ministry. Never give Him anything less than your BEST. Excellence is the fruit of a fine balance between trusting God and giving God the ability to trust you. Amen.

· JESUS... That's my final answer!

A Repost from June 2007 - Lessons from Arlington National Cemetery

A repost needed for reflection...

God graced me with another opportunity to visit our nation's capital city this past weekend. While I was there for my employer, I had some time to visit historical sites and definitely had plenty of time to pray and hear God in my hotel room.

One of the most overwhelming things I saw was the Arlington National Cemetery. A small group of us went to see the cemetery by moonlight, and while it was somewhat of a tearjerker, God really spoke to me about the principal behind this massive and prestigious monument.

He asked me a number of questions and drew my attention to a variety of details as I observed the cemetery. Right away, I noticed that all the tombstones were the same color, same size and same shape. They were all very simple and faced the same direction. They were laid out in perfect rows. These were the tombstones of men and women who have died for our country. These were the grave sites of those who have served in high positions of influence. I was amazed at the large number of stones as I heard the tour guide announce how they were designed and laid out to look like soldiers at attention.

God began to ask me, what if such a monument existed for martyrs - those who gave their lives for the Gospel? Would it be so massive? Would my people visit with the same respect, honor and dignity?

Immediately, I began to have a conversation with the Father and thoughts began to swarm my head. How many of us will truly honor God in our deaths? What would we really be remembered for?

I even began to think of the sacrifices the families make in order to commit the bodies of their loved ones to Arlington. They fly them in, ship them overseas - whatever it takes for them to have an honorary burial. Most of them won't be able to visit the grave sites often, and may not even be able to invite the entire family for the ceremony. Despite their life's accomplishments, these people are remembered for what they did for their country. They may have been great doctors and lawyers, awesome parents or successful entrepreneurs. Yet, they are buried there for one reason - to be honored and remembered for their services toward and on behalf of the USA. In the end, above all else, how many of us will be remembered and honored for what we've done for Christ?

Then, I thought again about the stones. God reminded me how many of the men were soldiers, yet some of them had more rank than others. Some were presidents. Some were corporals, while others were lieutenants. Yet, all the stones were alike. There was rank, but the cemetery does not stress that. In other words, rank allowed them to live and work as one body, but it was not allowed to thwart the vision or show separation from the cause at hand. In the end, the only thing that matters is their unity toward a cause - the freedom and protection of this country. How many of us can get past our rank long enough to just look like Christ? Can we get over ourselves and stop trying to force everyone to recognize our gifts and titles? Can we just work together, honoring the rank, but more importantly, working toward the building of the Kingdom of God?

If Christians had an "Arlington", how many of us would fuss making our own burial arrangements? "I'm a prophet, so my tombstone should be larger. Well, I'm a pastor, so I want an angel to sit on my stone. I'm an evangelist, so I'd like to have a Bible engraved in gold." How many of us could actually be content just looking like a unit? Would our families fight to make our grave sites "special" or would they understand our desire was simply to be known as a soldier for Christ? Even in life, when will we be willing to "blend in" as long as Christ gets the honor and the Father gets the glory? Can we survive without getting special recognition as long as unity is obtained and our goal is accomplished?

As I listened to God and pondered about this beautiful site, I was perturbed. Those in the world know how to unite for a cause, but the Body of Christ struggles as everyone wants to be an individual. Oh, God dealt with ME about so much that I do to seize an individual victory and accomplishment. Though we are known by our own names and our own "ranks" in the spirit, we should all look alike in the end. At the day of judgment, we will be honored based on our individual call to duty, and our ability to stand as a team. We may have individual assignments, but we should all talk and walk alike - in unison just like an army - just like those who have died for this country we are so blessed to live in.

• Ministry 101: True ministry is ONLY for true worshipers! You must KNOW God! Being entrepreneurial and/or political does not qualify. Selah.

• Praying for the working ministers in the Body of Christ... I, too, work a secular job, but we must NEVER allow it to retard our ministries. On the day of judgment, will our excuse be, "But God, I wanted to obey... but I had to work."? God forbid. If He has called you, He will give you the grace to perform it. No more excuses... Selah.

• MARRIAGE is defined by GOD, not man! Therefore, we cannot redefine what God has created. Marriage is between only one man and one woman. It is an eternal covenent, defined and recognized by God. Anything else is an abomination, and by definition in and of itself, is NOT marriage... PERIOD. Ref. Gen 2; Eph 5:31

• "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said..." (Matthew 28:6). What did He say about YOU? When others see you, let them be able to say, "You" are not there, but He is risen in you, as He said! Hallelujah!

• "...in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established" (Matt 18:15-16). It's funny how we accept blessings whenever two or three agree, yet when two or three see faults in us, we take offense and curse them. Let's read the text... the passage applies to ACCUSATIONS. If two or three of our brothers and sisters see a fault, REPENT... FIX IT! That's the Word! Selah.

• "If you, as the remnant and ministers of God, do not operate in FAITH, how can you teach others to have faith? My Church is full of pride, because My people only do what they KNOW. They depend on their own knowledge. Step out in FAITH. Let Me be God, even in your ministry. Then, you will understand TRUE WORSHIP!!!"

• CHARACTER... INTEGRITY... ACCOUNTABILITY... OBEDIENCE... HOLINESS... Yes, it does take all "that" to please God!

• "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12). There is a generation of YOUNG people on fire for God and ready to turn the world upside down with the true, unadulterated GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST. Hallelujah!!! Don't hate! Remember Exo 20:4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:" Why?

NOW is the Time to Step Out on FAITH

I know this message will be a little scattered, so please forgive me. I’m full in the Spirit right now. God is speaking so much…

God is speaking concerning the “sloppy” ministry that has been accepted by the Body of Christ. He is asking, “Where is the character in My people?” God requires integrity and accountability. We must offer Him nothing less than excellence in our worship and service to Him.

During prayer last night, God began to speak about leadership. He instructed us to step outside of our comfort zones. Do we really believe our steps are ordered by God? If so, we will obey His voice and not follow that of another.

Hypocrites... We are hypocrites… those who preach faith in God, yet operate in human power. Many of us demand excellence from others, yet offer God only what’s left after our jobs, families, finances, friends and CHURCHES.

The Father is saying to the Body, “It’s time to step out. You have become comfortable and complacent. You must step out on faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please Me, yet you continue to operate in ministry and offer worship WITHOUT FAITH. If you, as the remnant and ministers of God, do not operate in FAITH, how can you teach others to have faith? My Church is full of pride, because My people only do what they KNOW. They depend on their own knowledge. Step out in FAITH. Let Me be God, even in your ministry. Then, you will understand TRUE WORSHIP!!!"

I began to see that many of us are operating out of routine. We don’t truly understand the gravity and the urgency of ministry. There is a call to win souls back to Christ, an assignment to build the Kingdom of God. Yet, we settle in the midst of routine, because it’s comfortable. God revealed that this is the source of pride. When we become comfortable, we begin to trust ourselves, rather than Him. This is why so many signs and wonders have ceased. God moved when we sought Him. Yet, instead of fasting, praying and depending on Him, we get caught in a routine and wonder why He is not moving.

MINISTRY REQUIRES SACRIFICE! Invoking the presence and the glory of God REQUIRES faith! There is no other way. We need the power of the Holy Ghost to operate in the things of God. If God’s people would depend on Him, we will see revival like never before. There is too much flesh, too much flesh, too much flesh…

Mechanic… Calculated… We want to be in control, but this type of activity quenches the Spirit. When we quench the move of the Holy Ghost, we are saying to God, “I know better than You.” We must be free from religion, tradition and what we believe others will say or think. The Spirit of God will never contradict the word of God, but He will contradict our own sense of normalcy.

Get ready for a NEW move. Prepare for revival. Move in faith. It’s the hardest thing to do, but provide an open door for the power of God to come in!

During the day and throughout the week, God will often speak nuggets into my spirit concerning the Body of Christ. Generally, I tweet them or update my Facebook status, but I feel led to share some recent ones here as well... I pray these quick, contemplative thoughts will be a blessing to you.

PREACHERS, are you advertising your business, "wealth opportunity", makeup line, shoes, hats, suits or even your own ministry more than Christ? CHECK YOURSELF! We can do better. How can we say we will die for the sake of the Gospel, when every opportunity we have to share Christ is overshadowed by our own desires for vain glory? Selah.

Matthew 12:33 "Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit." What have you grown, lately? As leaders, let's not belittle those that follow us and sit under our teaching. They are a testament to who we are... or are not! Selah.

If we can't be acountable to one another, certainly we can't be accountable to a holy God! We are the BODY of Christ... island anointings do not exist. Selah.

‎1 Corinthians 14:38 "But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant." Selah.

Praying for the members of God's army that are M.I.A. Don't leave your post, people of God. The enemy is busy, and casualties are mounting. Stay on the battlefield and NEVER leave your post! The call to ministry is a life-long commitment... not a seasonal rendevous! Selah.

People of God, please submit to your leaders, those that God has given watch over your soul. If you can't trust them, then search yourself. More than likely, YOU were the one who said God led you there. If they are teaching the word and praying for you, submit. Don't blame them when things are not right with YOU. You can't hold someone responsible for you when you won't allow them to cover you. Amen!

Galatians 4:9 "But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?" People of God, while I certainly support education and believe we should know as much as possible about our Christian and Hebrew heritage, I HAVE NO INTEREST in becoming subject to the Law. I am saved by grace, so please do not attempt to bring me or any son of God back under such subjection. Let's not crucify Christ afresh.

God is speaking... I am seeking...

My prayer for today is simply Exodus 33:18 - "I beseech thee, shew me thy glory."

As a manager, I evaluate my employees each year to weigh their eligibility for a raise or promotion. Begin to record your accomplishments in ministry over the last 12 months. Would God promote you, place you on probation or give you the pink slip? Selah.

Cancer starts when a normal cell has a SMALL mutation and begins to multiply, crowding out the normal, healthy cells. In the Body of Christ, there are many who have a SMALL issue twisting doctrine, then gather a following. Don't let your ministry be tainted. Kill the CANCER CELLS in the Body of Christ. Cut them off! - 1 Timothy 6:3-5

Mat 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Are we really SEEKING, or just sitting by to see what happens? Hmmm... No wonder there's frustration and lack in the Body of Christ!

Yes, you must be SENT! Don't carry the spirit of Elymas in this season. With all the anointing that we have, surely God can send 2 or 3 witnesses (at least) who can confirm the call and anointing! (Acts 13:3; Romans 10:15) Let's stop the self-proclamation. God will always confirm and vindicate those He has called (Romans 8:29-30).

James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." If the devil is ALWAYS attacking you, check your submission! Selah.

The prophet, the mouthpiece of God, cannot speak without feeling the heart of God and knowing the mind of God! Knowing God, then, including His nature, will and desires, is required in order to obey Him and speak on His behalf.

Kill the CANCER in the Body of Christ!

Professionally, I work in the field of clinical research, and have spent much of my career in the managing oncology trials – looking for anything that may cure or ease the impact of cancer on our society. On yesterday, God began to speak to me about the nature of cancer in the natural and how it relates to the Body of Christ, even in the spiritual realm.

During our Sunday morning worship service, God instructed me to tell the people that they must stop the spread of cancer in the Body of Christ. “Cut it off!” This is ringing in my spirit for God's people... CUT IT OFF!

In the natural, cancer begins when a perfectly normal cell experiences a very small and minute mutation. The cell begins to grow and eventually displays uncontrollable growth that begins to invade healthy cells and tissue. This growth results in a tumor that generally displays the characteristics of its cell of origin, which is how we know to label it brain cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, etc. Occasionally, the tumor will even spread to other parts of the body, referred to as metastasis.

In the Body of Christ, which in indeed a body, there are many parts, according to the Scriptures (Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:16). All of us are vital “organs” used to build the Kingdom of God. We are instructed to duplicate ourselves, by making disciples. We do so by teaching the things that Jesus taught us. We grow the Body of Christ by preaching the Gospel. Unfortunately, there are cancerous saints among us.

Many of us have met those who did run well (Galatians 5:7). Yet, something or someone convinced them to look away from God for just a moment. At that point, though they’ve been taught the word of God, they err from the faith and begin to follow strange doctrines. They begin to teach that you have to do “extra” in order to be in right standing with God. They begin to follow “new” teachings and forget the grace given to us by the blood of Jesus Christ. They become increasingly pessimistic and disgruntled about “the church,” always pointing out faults, but never offering solutions. Watch out for these. In fact, the Bible says that such should be cut off (1 Timothy 6:3-5).

Why is this so important? These cancerous people are causing division in the Body of Christ. While growth is good and education is great, we must be careful of those who become self-righteous in their course of salvation. It is a cancer to the Body of Christ. When we befriend and entertain this spirit, we are only feeding the cancer, making it stronger.

As it is in the natural, so it is in the realm of the spirit. They start out as part of the healthy body, but undergo some very small mutation. They begin twisting Scripture or adding new, subtle nuances, claiming that it’s the “right” way. They look the same on the outside for a little while. By the time we realize there is a difference (unless we discern by the Spirit), they have formed a gathering. They have now broken off and metastasized – moving on to other people and groups to infect them as well. Before you know it, their voice is seemingly louder than that of the truth.

Don’t allow your ministry to die! Don’t allow the curiosity to overtake you. Mysticism is not of God, and knowledge will never earn salvation. Be careful of any “new” doctrine or those teachings that make us feel we are “better” than other saints (1 Peter 1:20). We must be so careful not to allow pride to take our eyes off a merciful God and our need for REPENTANCE. Pride has caused many, in this season, to feel that their knowledge has made them equal to God… the DEVIL! Do not feed the cancer. Cut it off, or it will kill you!

The Conception WILL BE ANNOUNCED

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” -Matthew

Have you ever been in a place where you simply felt misunderstood? Perhaps God had put something on the inside of you that was full of power and glory, yet others couldn’t see it. You felt as if your leaders just missed the mark. Your family didn’t understand and your closest friends had doubts. I want to encourage you this morning.

The Bible says that Mary, the mother of Jesus was pregnant with a child that Joseph did not father. Because Joseph was a JUST man, according to the word of God, the Bible says that he planned to “put her away privily.” In other words, he wanted to hide her so that she would not be shamed or perhaps even killed.

Many times, when our leaders shield us, we feel they are “holding up back” or that they just don’t see the potential God has placed in us. This is not always so. There are still a lot of JUST leaders that God has set in place, and the JUST will hide those that may otherwise be exposed to ridicule and even death. It was the wisdom of Joseph that wanted to hide his wife. It was the love he had for her that drove him to protect her. He was not driven by jealousy or intimidation, but by his God-given instinct to protect.

The Scriptures go on to say, however, that and angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and revealed to him that the child Mary carried was conceived of the Holy Ghost, therefore he should not fear in taking her as his wife. When a thing is really of God, He will always vindicate what He has ordains! Hallelujah! Our God makes it His business to tell our leaders when He has placed something on the inside of His people, that they will not fear taking covenant with that person or the thing God has given them.

Too often, people become so used to being victims that they are unable to identify a good, nurturing leader when they meet one. Did His word not promise YOU that He would send shepherds to feed and guide you? Our GOD is faithful.

Sometimes, we just need to wait on God to deliver the full message. In this season, we can’t be quick to accept every wind of doctrine, or every announcement of a call. Things must be prayerfully considered and judged, to see whether it is of God. Let’s allow our leaders the time to ponder before we assume they are simply trying to hold us back.

Why do we show less respect for leaders who serve and more for those that abuse?

I've observed the church and ministry leadership dynamics for years. As a pastor myself, with a heart after God's agenda, I have found it VERY difficult to serve and receive respect simultaneously. It baffles my mind that when people see that you have a desire to teach the word and are willing to work alongside them, rather than ruling over them, they also seem to devalue your anointing and authority. It's almost as if you are perceived as being "common" and "weak."

Yet, I have seen and experienced other leaders that lie to the people, twist the Scriptures, and rule over them in very dangerous and abusive scenarios. As a result, even when the leader is known to be wrong, it seems that they are followed by the masses for long periods of time.

Unfortunately, people see abuse as a sign of authority and power, rather than the manifestation of signs and wonders. Church hurt has scarred many people, even to the point that some don't know how to trust a leader who truly has their best interest at heart. It's a sad state.

Jesus was a servant and told us that the greatest among us are the same (Matthew 23:11). Since Jesus has declared this to be so, we cannot expect the crowd to follow such examples. The masses will follow those that seek their own glory, rather than that of the Father.

I want to take this opportunity to encourage the leaders who walk in humility and truly have a heart for God's people. Do not be discouraged. Do not compromise. Do not be dismayed by those who honor their abusers, but slander the nurturer. Know that God is getting the glory out of your leadership through service.

Gruesome Abortion Practices are Still Alive in America

West Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell routinely delivered live babies in the third trimester of pregnancy, then murdered them by "sticking scissors into the back of the baby's neck and cutting the spinal cord," according to the Philadelphia District Attorney.

One newborn who weighed almost six pounds was so big "the doctor joked . . . this baby 'could walk me to the bus stop.'"

Those are among the jaw-dropping details - complete with photographs - in a 260-page Grand Jury report released Wednesday that charges Gosnell, 69, with the murder of a patient and seven live infants.

The report culminates a massive, year-long investigation of Gosnell and his Lancaster Avene clinic, which was shut down after a raid last February.

But the report is sure to be just the beginning of finger-pointing and soul-searching as city and state health officials, legislators, and those on both sides of the bitter abortion debate seek to understand how the clinic operated for 32 years, apparently with little oversight.

"The inaction of public agencies is exposed," DA Seth Williams said Wednesday at a press conference.

In addition to Gosnell, his wife, Pearl, and eight employees - none of whom had medical credentials - were arrested Wednesday morning. Four of the workers are also facing murder charges.

Williams said the prosecution is not about the morality of abortion.

"I am aware that abortion is a hot-button topic," he said. "But as district attorney, my job is to carry out the law. A doctor who knowingly and systematically mistreats female patients, to the point that one of them dies in his so-called care, commits murder under the law."

Philadelphia lawyer William Brennan, who represented Gosnell before Wednesday's arrest, said he hadn't read the report, and hasn't been formally retained as Gosnell's attorney.

"I would say simply that it's important to remember that Dr. Gosnell is presumed to be innocent," Brennan said.

The investigation began last February, after federal and state drug agents and Philadelphia police raided the clinic at 3801 Lancaster Ave. on suspicion that Gosnell was illegally dispensing narcotic painkillers. (The federal drug-trafficking investigation is ongoing.)

What they found, according to the report, was "filthy, deplorable, and disgusting": Blood on the floor. The stench of urine. Cat feces on the stairs. Semi-conscious women moaning in the waiting or revovery rooms, covered with blood-stained blankets. Broken equipment. Blocked or locked exits.

The investigators also learned that, in November 2009, an abortion patient had died.

Gosnell is now charged with 3rd degree murder of that woman, Karnamaya Mongar, 41, who had travelled from Woodbridge, Va., for an abortion. A native of the nation of Bhutan who had arrived in the U.S. only five months earlier, Mongar was 19 weeks of pregnancy. She developed a fatal heart arrythmia after being overdosed with anesthetics by an unlicensed caregiver, the report says.

The grand jury also alleges that Gosnell and his staff delayed in calling 911, attempted to deceive paramedics when they arrived - and then took couldn't find the key for the emergency exit lock, which responders finally cut open.

That February raid was the beginning, Williams said, of ever more shocking discoveries that revealed Gosnell had been flouting Pennsylvania's abortion law - and other laws - for many years.

Gosnell, who graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1966, received Pennsylvania Department of Health approval to do abortions at his clinic in 1979, after an on-site inspection.

Even before then, in 1972, he made headlines for using an experimental abortion-inducing device on 15 women, nine of whom developed serious complications.

From the start, he was well-known for being willing do abortions beyond 12 weeks - the limit set by most clinics - and for treating poor and minority women.

Pennsylvania, which has one of the nation's most restrictive abortion laws, requires that the woman be counselled about the risks and wait 24 hours before the procedure.

The state also requires that fetal tissue from abortions after 20 weeks be sent to a pathologist for review.

Abortions after 24 weeks - when the fetus can usually survive outside the womb - are outlawed unless the doctor determines, and reports to authorities, that the abortion "is necessary to preserve maternal life or health."

If the chosen abortion method might enable a live birth, the law says a second physician must be "in the same room" and provide medical care to the newborn.

Gosnell not only flouted these requirements, he falsified ultrasound and state reports to cover his post-24 week abortions.

"Gosnell's approach, whenever possible, was to force full labor and delivery of premature infants on ill-informed women," the report says. "When you perform late-term 'abortions' by inducing labor, you get babies. Live, breathing, squirming babies. . . . Gosnell had a simple solution: he killed them. . . . by sticking scissors into the back of the baby's neck and cutting the spinal cord."

Williams said the grand jury heard testimony that Gosnell performed what he called "snippings" hundreds of times, but most cannot be prosecuted because the evidence is gone.

Still, investigators found fetal bodies and body parts in garbage bags, plastic bozes and bottles at the clinic.

One of the seven cases of infanticide that have been documented is "Baby boy A" - the one about whom Gosnell made the bus stop joke, according to report.

"His 17-year-old mother was almost 30 weeks pregnant - seven and a half months - when labor was induced," the report says.

Who/What Are You Advertising (w/ Some Football Talk for the Men)

I observed an interesting phenomenon today… My husband and I went grocery shopping this morning, and as usual, he was covered with cap and pullover for his favorite NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers! As we walked around the store, I watched as random men – complete strangers – approached him with exciting conversation about football.

“Hey man… we’re going to the Super Bowl! How about them Steelers!” Yes, random people that we’ve never seen before. One man even stopped us from shopping for at least five minutes to discuss how he was actually a Washington Redskins fan, but had so much respect for the Steelers.

Even after the numerous discussions on football, as we began to finish up shopping, my husband picked up a few bottles of his favorite soft drink – Dr. Pepper. No sooner than the first bottle hit the cart, I heard a voice say, “Are you sure you want to drink that poison?” As I looked to my left, there was the Pepsi delivery man with a smile on his face. My husband smiled back at him and started to explain that he used to work at Pepsi, so he had to stop drinking it. “It was overkill,” he said. They laughed and exchanged a few more words, smiled and walked away. Really? Willing to approach a complete stranger to compel him to drink Pepsi when most saints don’t have enough courage to share Christ with a stranger…

God began to speak to me right in the grocery store. No matter what we do on a daily basis, we are always advertising something or someone. What if the Church was as bold about standing for Christ as we are about representing our favorite sports teams, soft drinks or fashion designers?
Think about the place where you work… Your email bares your job title and the company name with every piece of correspondence you send. You may even have a computer bag, a bumper sticker, or a shirt that boldly proclaims your loyalty to the corporation to which you belong. When you answer the phone or even apply for a car loan, you proudly provide the name of your employer. Why? Because the people and things for which we advertise give us a sense of pride and purpose. We want others to know to whom and what we belong.

Think about it… Most people have more pride in wearing a pair of Nike or Jimmy Choo shoes than they do a pair of Mabelle’s or Skaters. Why? …Because no one recognizes Mabelle or Skater. It’s not a sign of sacrifice, therefore it is devalued. Even in the Greek letter organizations, which we know to be a trick of the enemy, people proudly wear the letters and colors for their fraternity or sorority, knowing good and well they know nothing about ancient Greece, much less about the Greek language. Yet, they have pride in it, because it required sacrifice on their part.

So, what about Jesus? Have we sacrificed enough for the sake of the Gospel to wear it with pride? What if we wore His name on hats and jerseys? What if we dared to place his name on the credit applications as a reference or a provider?

One thing I’ve NEVER seen is a man back down on a conversation about his favorite NFL team. Even if they have a losing season, when a stranger approaches and makes a comment about the hat or sweater, they are quick to defend the team to whom they are loyal. They will laugh and joke, but show no embarrassment about who they endorse. They will spend hundreds of dollars on jerseys and hats and proclaim, “There’s always next year!” with the highest level of confidence.

Just a little something to think about… Our lifestyles always reflect Christ if we are truly serving Him. So, how bold are we to talk about Him? How willing are we to share the Gospel, whether others agree on our choice of allegiance or not? How much money are we willing to spend to visibly represent Him and the Body of Christ? Are you willing to spend $200 for a jersey or $30 for a hat, but struggle to support the local church with more than $20? We won’t even mention the cost of season tickets… Our pride rests where our sacrifices have been planted.

When you walk out the door of your home, what’s the first thing people will notice about you? Will they know first that you’re a Steelers or Cowboys fan? Will they recognize first that you are fan of Versace, Gucci or Coash? Will they see that you pledged as a Delta or a Sigma? Will they notice whether you vote Democratic or Republican? Or will they first see that you are Kingdom citizen? Even after the first impression, are you confident in backing up your Savior with the “touch talk,” or do you back down and concede when the conversation gets difficult?

The Sound of War...

The Prophets understand what I mean when I say that I’ve been hearing war drums for the past week. God is trying to warn His people, as He has been. Spiritual warfare is heightened to a place where it has never been before. This time, the enemy is going for blood. The heat has been turned up, so we must be ready. This is not a season for preparation, but a season for war!

In our local church, God has been speaking to us more and more about prayer and fasting. Regardless of our religious, traditional backgrounds and teaching, Jesus proved even to His own disciples that demonic power can only be dealt with through vessels who are prayed up and fasted (Matt 17:21; Mark 9:29).

The pressure is being increased. God does not warn us to breed fear, but He warns us to prepare us. We are victorious if we will be obedient and READY.

"...Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong" (Joel 3:9-10).

People of God, this is the season to GET IN PLACE. This is NOT the time to be religious. It is NOT the time to focus on building our “own” ministries and being “promoted” to the next spiritual title. We need the Apostles to set order. We need the prophets to warn. We need the evangelists to win souls. We need the teachers to instruct in sound doctrine. We need the shepherds to nurture disciples. We need everyone IN place, not moving from place to place.

God has warned His people. He has shown me that we are going to begin seeing the death of our religious idols, both spiritually and naturally. Look around… Even today another massive earthquake shook the earth – this time in Pakistan. Our God is not playing. He is God and He will be exalted as such! The last days are upon us, and His people must be in proper position. The church cannot continue to steal God’s glory.

People are dealing with demonic activity on a whole new level. I’m getting calls from BELIEVERS who are dealing with depression and possessed relatives… Incubus and succubus spirits in their homes… Yet, we have been warned. Spiritual warfare is upon us.

This MUST be a season of soul winning, but we must also be sober. Ministry will hurt in this season. It will require sacrifice, and that looks different for different people. For some, you may have to walk away from a job, a family member, or even a church. So be it! OBEY GOD! Integrity is key and it is required.

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war (Jeremiah 4:19).

Sound the alarm, Prophets! Many of you have been holding back… Warn the people. Share what you see and proclaim the word of the Lord. Now is the time to rise and GET IN PLACE. Let the prophets be prophets! Proclaim and declare!

I'm Delivered from YOU

Church, God is calling His people to be delivered from other people! I’m not just talking about what others think of us, but I’m talking about the crutch that we develop from others.

In the Body of Christ, many of us feel better about ourselves because we always find it necessary to criticize someone else. We are spending entirely too much time looking at the specs in the eyes of our brothers and sisters while neglecting the beams in our own!

Over the last week, I have been off work for the holidays. During this time, I really paid attention to the sermons I heard, the posts on Facebook and the status updates on MySpace. I listened to the messages on YouTube, and heard something very common and disturbing. The Church has made a vocation out of putting down one another. Criticism is everywhere, and people seem to think that it somehow makes them more anointed.

There will be occasions when rebuke and correction are necessary. Still, slander is another thing. Gossip is a different story. Constant complaining is unfounded. The church is full of people who are made righteous, in their own sight, only because they are able to rally up enough supporters to agree that someone else is wrong.

What happened to exhorting and teaching one another? What happened to restoring our brothers and sisters?

As I observed, I began to do exactly what God intended for me to do – look inwardly. I, too, have found myself rallying against others to “prove a point.” I have had to repent, and must consistently be careful as I move forward. I was taught, in many respects, that this is what prophets do. The devil is a liar! Yes, God has called us to show transgressors their ways, but He has not called us to broadcast their mistakes to others without ever making an attempt to correct them in person and in love.

It’s time for the body to unify. We need to watch our mouths and our motives. We are called to preach the GOSPEL, not the mistakes or opinions of those with whom we disagree. We must declare to one another, “I am delivered from you! Keeping my mind on you is causing me to miss God and think I’m okay. I’ve made you an idol, but comparing myself to you rather than Christ. Self-righteousness is dying in me today!”

Vison of an Art Gallery...

While in prayer this evening, God showed me a vision of a long, elegant hall. The hall had dim lights, just like those in a typical art gallery or museum. As I glanced down the hall, I saw the most beautiful portraits and sculptures. To my surprise, all of them were figures of people in ministry, some of whom I personally know. There were portraits of praise and worship teams, preachers and people lifting their hands to God. I saw great and intricate sculptures of people laying hands on others and preaching the Gospel. The pictures were so life-like and beautiful… more than any art I’d ever seen.

As I moved down the display hall, God asked me what I thought of the artwork. I expressed how beautiful it was and explained that the beauty literally put me in tears. I was impressed by what I saw and felt like the people portrayed in the art were so anointed. As I asked God where we were, He explained to me that He sees something similar to this all the time. I was expecting some great and glorious explanation of the place I was viewing.

Unfortunately, God said that the gallery represents the Church and what many of us are offering as ministry. “It’s absolutely beautiful to look upon,” He said, “but still has no life!” He began to remind me that signs and wonders follow those that truly believe. He reminded me that His power moves and operates in the midst of true ministry. True worship is not always as beautiful as the picture-perfect display, but is has fruit. It’s not rehearsed and dressed up. It’s not mechanical and choreographed. Yet, it results in deliverance through His power.

In this season, people of God, we have to stop putting so much emphasis on “being cute.” The Church has presented an image, and taught many to do the same, without carrying any power. We know how to look good and enticing. Yet, when the maniac walks into the sanctuary, they leave with the same demon. When a member is diagnosed with cancer, we are not able to pray a prayer of faith that truly heals.

God is pressing us. He wants the oil from the olives. The true power of God comes only through obedience and sacrifice. Our worship must go to another level. Accountability must be turned up a notch.

(Mal 1:6) A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

(Mal 1:7) Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.

(Mal 1:8) And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

(Mal 1:9) And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

(Mal 1:10) Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

In the book of Malachi, God begins by rebuking the priests for their failure to offer their best to Him. Instead of giving God the best, they withheld it for themselves and gave Him the sacrifices with flaws. Many of us today are still offering God less than our best. We feel that as long as we do “something” ministry has gone forth. God forbid. It’s time to honor God with our best in all things, and that requires sacrifice!

Many of us need to sacrifice more in our giving, our service, our talents…everything. We need to pray more, fast more, study the word of God more… We need to be more obedient, serve more and support one another more. Our sacrifices must be the very best.

We can no longer give a job our best 40 hours, and serve God with what’s left, through our tiredness and fatigue. We can no longer give our talents to the world, then come into the house of God with a tip to appease our egos. We must stop pouring our time into studying the politics of religion while neglecting the study of His word. The time has ended for us to talk, bicker, complain and gossip all day long, just to end the day with 30 seconds of prayer.

(Mal 3:1) Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

(Mal 3:2) But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

(Mal 3:3) And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Later in the book of Malachi, God promises that Jesus Christ will bring forth the PURGING required for a righteous sacrifice. PURGING… Purging is what we need. It’s time to let go of the religion. Let go of our agendas. Release the politics and the empty appearances.

Be warned… purging hurts! It means that we’ll be emptied from a lot of “knowledge” so that it can be replaced with understanding and anointing. It means we may have to lay down some titles, positions and responsibilities. It means we may have to apologize and fix some things we once thought were right.

God wants to purge everything that is carnal inside of His people, allowing the Spirit of God to fill us. This is the only way we will remove ourselves from an appearance of godliness, while operating without the power. REVIVAL is nigh, but comes with a price.

As we begin this New Year, we must not neglect our personal relationships with God. This year, ACCOUNTABILITY and HOLINESS are essential to the life of every believer.

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Seeking a Prophecy for the New Year?

From December, 2006… Stop worrying about the year – walk in your season!

Like many of you, I have read many prophecies concerning the new year, and I've probably heard even more. My Father and I had a long talk about this, and I asked God, what is it that I need to know for the next year? I've often felt "left out," because though God has been showing me things, I haven't had any huge revelation specifically for the new year. God spoke and said He has been speaking all year. "I am not ruled by your sense of time. Too many are seeking a word and a vision for the year. I am not concerned with years, but with seasons. Too many are looking for a change on January 1, but have not yet completed the assignments required to move into a new season."

My Father quickly reminded me that His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He showed me that the church is operating in spirit of divination and fortune-telling. Too many are concerned with giving a word for the new year, while people are dying in THIS season. A season, God reminded me, is not dependent on dates but on progression, growth and completion of purpose.

I know this is blunt, but I must be obedient in sharing this. We must stop trying to conjure up a word for the year. What is God saying TODAY?

God said, "Where were the seekers all year long?" How dare anyone give a word for the coming year when they have failed to communicate God's messages for the last 12 months! There is so much more I can add, but for now, this is all I feel led to share. Selah.

From December, 2009… Numbering Your Days

"So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom."
Psalm 90:12 (AMP)

This is the time of year where people around the world are making resolutions for the New Year. In the church, in particular, we must be very careful about allowing a date to dictate our sacrifice of worship. Too many of us are waiting for the latest prophecy or catchy cliché that will promise prosperity and change in the New Year. But, what about this year (2010)? What about all the prophecy and godly instruction we failed to complete during the last twelve months?

Unfortunately, there are still thousands of people around this globe that will never see January 1. For that reason, it's important to understand that NOW is the day of salvation. As people of God, we understand that God operates in seasons... not by our natural calendars. If we are currently in a season of disobedience, repentance is necessary before a change comes. It takes more than a mere change of date.

Let's resolve to savor every moment, with a readiness to repent and continue in Kingdom building TODAY, tomorrow and every day thereafter. There is no doubt in my mind that God will continue blessing us in 2011, but we don't have to wait for the new year in order to offer Him a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is our reasonable service. Amen!

May I vent... about Michael Vick?

Many may consider this to be nothing more than a venting session, but I assure you that I’ve pondered and prayed over this for many days before gathering my thoughts in writing.

My husband, like many other men out there, is an avid football fan. While I’m not much of a television watcher myself, I often find myself in a room watching a game or listening to the latest ESPN news. For quite some time now, I’ve been VERY disturbed by the public’s reaction to Michael Vick.

Here we have a man who committed a crime…yes. He served the time for the crime that was committed and is now back in society, working a job (and doing it well) to contribute to the world of sports. Yet, it seems that people just won’t let it go.

Don’t get me wrong. He committed a crime and deserved to be punished. He was, and now it’s done. I actually read an article today about murderers in the NFL. The list included Michael Vick. Are you serious?

Really and truly, this is not about Michael Vick at all. He is merely a scapegoat being used to exemplify the mindset of many Americans, which is quite disturbing. It doesn’t take a scholar, first of all, to realize that many in the NFL have committed crimes… murder, rape, involuntary manslaughter, driving while intoxicated… yet none of these have received as much publicity as Michael Vick. Since when are dogs more important than humans?

Even in the church, I’ve been disturbed at how many people have “prophelied” around Michael Vick. He is NOT an example of God’s wrath. He is an example of the sick and twisted priorities in this American culture. What if we were to do a poll of how many NFL players have fathered aborted babies and encouraged that abortion? I assure you, that figure would astound us. So, why are we crying out and preaching about dogs? Why are we looking over human life and putting so much emphasis on the lives of animals? It’s a distraction.

Even the President of the United States was recently scrutinized for acknowledging that Michael Vick should have a second chance. What’s wrong with that? Is redemption no longer an option? Is forgiveness no longer the American way? I just don’t understand, ESPECIALLY when the church starts agreeing with this stuff. It’s absolutely crazy.

I actually heard a “Christian” sports caster say that dog abuse is the same offense as child abuse, and that Michael Vick should never receive a second chance. Really? Let’s just be real. I can’t breed, neuter and PURCHASE a child. Dogs are animals. They are possessions. There are more people fighting for the rights of dogs and cats than those that fought for Civil rights in the 1960’s or those who fought agains the Holocaust! Even in the word of God, a very clear distinction is made between animals and people. I can hardly believe people are praying for this man to fail, but not praying for his soul. Murder, rape, abortion = forgiveness. Dog fighting = eternal damnation. I seriously doubt it.

I supposed I’m finished venting now. My point is this… we cannot lose focus. The enemy is very quick to flash things in our faces to make us lose sight of the big picture. I wonder if the NFL would have taken any action in the times of Jesus, if those who crucified him were star players. Would they have even canceled the Sunday games? How long would it have taken for the ESPN news to dismiss His death and return to the more important news of who was cock fighting during the time? Hmmm…

Stop the Gimmicks! Prayer Still Works!

FASTING and PRAYER – It still works!

To GOD be the glory! Over the last few weeks, God has been dealing with the Body of Christ about gimmicks. The church has certainly adopted too many rituals and rules without the stamp of approval from the Father. As “Christian” television gets more and more worldly and spooky, one must sit back and wonder why we can’t just stick to the word. Must everything be so deep and mysterious?

We’ve all heard the games… Power comes by giving your last $250 to the pastor. Or perhaps from having hands laid on you by someone else who appears to have a gift. Yet, we continue to wonder why the church is powerless. We continue having “miracle” and “healing” services where no miracles or healing takes place. How long?

Paul warned Timothy that times such as these would come. He warned him that he should never adopt any doctrine that differs from what he’d been taught (1 Timothy 1:2-4; 6:2-4). Yet, the church continues to buy into the new ideologies that are flashed before us.

The power of the Holy Ghost DOES NOT come from money. The gifts cannot be bought or purchased. The power of God does not show up just because we raise our voices louder or are able to entice a crowd. Dancing, shouting and crying will never move God like a true heart of repentance. Believe it or not, PRAYER STILL WORKS! God has been saying that now for months. Church, we must get back to prayer…not just the act every now and then, but a lifestyle of prayer, which is consistent communion with God. That prayer must then be coupled with fasting, which strengthens the Spirit of God working through us and teaches us self-control.

In the book of Mark, chapter 9, the Bible tells us of a young man possessed by a demon. The disciples, who walked and talked with Jesus, were unable to cast out the demon. After Jesus rebuked the spirit, they asked their Teacher of the reason for their failure. His response was simple…

17And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

Yes, prayer still works. Some things come only as a result of prayer and fasting. Too many of us are trying to walk in the power of God without sitting in the presence of God. It cannot work. You cannot have fruit without the tree, and you can’t have a tree that bears good fruit without strong roots. What are the roots? They are the foundation. Our foundation must be built on FAITH, which comes only by the Word of God!

God is calling us “back to the basics!” There are no formulas and 12-step solutions to effective ministries. We are not a people called to follow signs, but signs and wonders should follow us as a sign to them that do NOT believe. Where did that get twisted?

People of God, the spirit of anti-christ is very much alive in the church today. The devil himself graces many pulpits each Sunday morning. Why? Because we are impressed by entertainment and shows rather than the anointing. We like to hear a good pep talk, even if the promises never come pass.

Think about it… We have established “Schools of the Prophets” that teach people how to read minds and body gestures, but fail to teach worship. These things ought not be so!

My spirit is vexed every time I hear the “prophetic interview.”

Do you have children?
- No
I see children. Hmmm… Perhaps it’s another child in your family.
- I have a little sister, but that’s it.
Yes, it’s your little sister. Praise God. Does she live with you?
- No
Amen. I sense that in the spirit. She lives with another family member, then?
- Yes
God is getting ready to do something great for your little sister, but you are not forgotten.

STOP IT!!! Either God is speaking or He isn’t! Say what God says or be silent. We are using the methods practiced by psychics to “prophesy” in God’s house. The devil is a liar! Church, we cannot continue teaching witchcraft and sorcery. We cannot continue to fall for every trick of the enemy. YOU CANNOT HAVE POWER WITHOUT COMMUNION WITH GOD! Your ministry is not pleasing to Him if you do not have a lifestyle of PRAYER AND FASTING…. Period!

Look around… We have more ministries endorsed by “apostles” and leaders that have never met their “followers” than we do those who have actually been sent and commissioned, according to the Word of God, with hands laid on them. What is going on? Ordination on the internet and by mail… People claiming spiritual mothers and fathers they’ve never even met… With all this anointing, there is NO excuse for anyone to be claiming a call outside the guidelines given in the word of God. There are over 6 billion people on this earth. Surely, two or three of them should be able to vouch for your “anointing” and call to ministry (Proverbs 27:2; Acts 13:3).

The help books are useless. The self-help tapes and CD’s are a wasted investment. Travelling to 50 cities in 3 months with your “titled” leader will do you NO good if you do not have a relationship with God. Let’s get back to the basics!

If you want to see signs and wonders, fast and pray. It still works! Selah.

Get a Revelation (Repost)

The Lord allowed me to write this blog entry back in 2006. Yet, I feel led to share it again...

GET A REVELATION!

My prayer is always that I will receive a new "revelation" from God. I don't know about you all, but I am vexed by all the so-called ministers, pastors, prophets, teachers, etc. who proclaim they received a revelation, just because their message has a catchy title. Saints of God, when will we get back to the Word in the pulpit???!!!

It's a shame when the leaders of the Church are still preaching, hooping and hollering in the House of God, but saying absolutely NOTHING! Where is the growth? Where is the challenge? The Word of God has a purpose...

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and spirit, and of joints and marrow , exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12, Amplified).

My God. When was the last time you gave or received a Word from the Lord that was sharp? A word that revealed your true character by showing it's separation from the Spirit? When was the last time something in your life was exposed and judged, challenging you to walk closer with God? What's making you UNCOMFORTABLE...???

Now, I thank God for these online groups and forums. There are many people of God who feel free to share the Word of the Lord, without holding back. It is a blessing. Nevertheless, we need this kind of preaching and teaching in the physical church as well! Those who desire to preach the HEART OF GOD should not feel uncomfortable in the house of God.

My husband and I share a home where we are raising our children. It's called the "Allen" household because the Allen family dwells here. It's OUR HOME. Now, if a strange woman walks in here, and my husband starts to call her his wife, do you really think I'd just sit back in a corner and say "Amen?" O NO - THE DEVIL IS A LIAR. I would literally CUT SOMEBODY!!! Why? Because I will not be made to feel uncomfortable in MY OWN HOUSE! Because no "strange" woman can just walk up in here and claim what's mine! Because no stranger will get the glory for all the work, prayer and time I've put into my marriage! Because no strange woman is going to walk into my house and influence my children!

So, what's going on in the church? Why does the TRUE BRIDE OF CHRIST sit idly by while the "mistress of deception” - the watered down, lying, half-gospel gets in the pulpit Sunday after Sunday, and has intercourse with God's people, making empty and deceiving deposits into the children of God???!!! There is a "strange" gospel being preached, and the Spirit of God cannot rest in God's own house!!! We must CRY ALOUD AND SPARE NOT according to the Word of God. This is what God is saying. It is not easy, but the altars of Baal MUST BE TORN DOWN. God is not pleased! The church is not a place for prophesying houses and cars. God's house is not "Date-Finder Central." God's house is not a meeting place. It's not a storefront. It's not an auction block, nor a political arena. We have tried to evict the Lord from His own house!

According to the Word, we (our bodies) are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yet, God has set an order for the Body of Christ. We are instructed to assemble together and exhort one another (Hebrews 10:25). Then, those of us who are called to ministry have a charge to "perfect the saints for the work of the ministry" and "edify the Body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12). In order to perfect anything, there has to be some correction.

Saints, we have gotten too comfortable in the physical church. Where is the spirit of excellence? Where is the desire to be holy? Sadly, the mistress of deception is moving into our house, and the Bride of Christ is just letting her take over.

The people of God need REVELATION. The biblical term comes from the Greek Word, apokalupsis, which means "disclosure: - appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed" (Strong's G602). The key is THERE IS NO REVELATION WITHOUT RELATIONSHIP. We need to crucify RELIGION and build a RELATIONSHIP with the Father so He can reveal His heart to us. Then, and only then, will a REVELATION be received. What do I mean by that? Well, my natural Father, Mr. Rollins, has a name and a career. Any stranger can write a great novel about him, with a catchy title, and make it a best seller. However, if they don't have a relationship with him, they'll never know his heart...how he thinks and feels. This means they can never have a "revelation" of who he truly is. On the other hand, I'm my father's daughter. I may know his birthday, his occupation...even his shoe size. Nevertheless, these things don't have too much importance beside our relationship as father and daughter. I know how he thinks, how he feels, what he likes... We have a solid relationship. So, I know his heart, and have a REVELATION of who he truly is. I feel his hurts and rejoice in his victories. I am concerned about him, as he is about me. We take time out to talk and we support one another.

So many "preachers" know the Word of God. I'm not impressed. Satan and his demons know it too! We need more in leadership who know the HEART of God. That comes only by relationship and revelation! We must seek God.

Any true relationship is not always comfortable and content. God has me in a place of ministry that is not comfortable. I can't receive mess just because it comes from a person with a title. In the same manner, I can't minister mess to the people of God. The Gospel has not changed. We MUST PREACH the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We MUST PREACH HOLINESS to God's people. HOLINESS IS RIGHT! TOLERANCE IS NOT OF GOD! If sin doesn't make us sick - if evil spirits are comfortable in the church, something is wrong with us! Selah.

The Spirit of "BRAND NEW"

James 2:1 (AMP)

MY BRETHREN, pay no servile regard to people [show no prejudice, no partiality]. Do not [attempt to] hold and practice the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ [the Lord] of glory [together with snobbery]!

In the Body of Christ, we must be very careful never to forget where we’ve come from. Too often, salvation is equated to an attitude of entitlement in the church. Yet, God is not a God that recognizes or cares about social class.

It’s sad to note that after all these years of war, civil rights movements, religious reform, global revivals and desegregation, that the church still turns a nose up to those we feel are not “worthy” to be associated with us. I thank God that Jesus didn’t have the same attitude.

God is not pleased with our attempts to turn His house into a social club that admits only those who fit our own criteria. He is not a respecter of persons, and we are to be like Him.

A quick observation… God has gifted me with a heart and ministry for young people. For many of them, discrimination is cited as the number one reason they don’t attend church. Judgment for appearance or the lack of cash deters our young people from seeking Christian fellowship, and that’s a problem. That’s blood on our hands!

We must not forget the state we were in when God accepted us through the blood of His Son, Jesus. We were yet sinners! It is not of ourselves, our accomplishments, our money, our appearance, our works or our status that we are saved, but by faith and grace alone (Ephesians 2:8). Selah.

What If They Don't Believe?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar... (Romans 3:3-4a)

This is a quick and simple word, but I must obey God, as somebody needs it…

Has God ever spoken into your life and excited you to the point you wanted to share the same with someone else? Remember how you felt when that revelation was rejected or you were rebuked and corrected?

How many of us have attempted to share the love and salvation of Jesus Christ, only to be combated with some scientific theory? Oftentimes, the people of God find themselves wondering into thought and having doubts about what God has said all because someone else didn’t believe.

As people, we inherently want to “keep the peace.” We like to agree and fit in, yet God is calling us to a place where a line must be drawn in the sand. We cannot allow the lack of belief by someone else to sway the faith we have in our God.

I am certainly not saying that we are to reject correction and knowledge. What I am saying is that the Word of God is true. It cannot be compromised. At some point, we must take a stand! It’s not good enough to sway with every wind of doctrine. What do you believe? What is your testimony? Where is your conviction? What has God said to YOU?

Unbelievers will always surround us, but beware of the contagious enemy called “doubt.” Selah.

You Have Nothing to Prove!

Many times, we as leaders, find ourselves struggling to balance between acceptance by God and the acceptance of men. Most of us begin in ministry with good intentions. Our motives and desires all point to bringing God glory. Yet, there is a moment for all of us when pride attempts to creep in. That pride, in many cases, comes when someone else doubts the gift, call and anointing God has placed on our lives.

I've met many great men and women of God who fell off course trying to "prove" who they were in God. Saints of God, we must realize that in this season, the enemy is using this very thing as a trap to get you off course. It's a distraction that must be avoided at all costs. You must live a holy life, acceptable unto God. Remain steadfast in worship and allow your gifts to make room for you according to the Word of God.

Have the heart and mind of Paul, understanding that if God has truly called you, you are indeed already justified. It is not your job to "prove" this to anyone. God will handle that on your behalf.

Romans 8
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Remember, we cannot get distracted. Stay in the will of God and do the work of the ministry. Too many of us are caught up trying to vindicate ourselves. We are trying to avenge ourselves. We are trying to prove ourselves. In the meantime, worship is waxing cold and people are dying. Let's get back to God's agenda and release our own.

In the book of John, in the 20th chapter, I love Jesus' reaction to Thomas' doubt.

24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.
29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

John doubted who Jesus was. Though he was a disciple, one who walked with Jesus and knew the prophesies that He shared. Yet, Thomas doubted the miracle in his midst. Have you ever been there? Have you ever been trained by a leader with whom you prayed and walked in ministry only to have them turn around and say you were never called? Have you ever trained a disciple, ministering to them with signs and wonders, only to have them return to call you a false teacher?

I submit to you that there is nothing new under the sun. Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, experienced the exact same thing. Yet, he didn't try to conjur up miracles to appease Thomas. He didn't get into a lengthy discussion to try and convince him with theology.

Instead, Jesus showed Thomas the evidence of the miracle that had already taken place in Him. People of God, realize the power of your TESTIMONY. You don't need a new prophetic word to prove who you are. Just remind them of what God has already done! Look how far He's already brought you. Look at the favor that already rests upon your life.

Do not get distracted because of doubters. Don't allow pride to creep in. Always remember, the Spirit of God moves through people. Ultimately, it's not you that is being challenged. It's God's ability to work through you that's being challenged. That's our Father's battle to fight, and He shall be victorious! Hallelujah!

Never step into a realm of witchcraft and sorcery to to prove a point. Follow the example our Savior has already given. This alone proves the presence of the Holy Spirit resting in you.

Have You Chosen MISERY Over ROYALTY?

In this season, many of God’s people are feeling lost and forsaken. Why has God left me? Why is my life so difficult? Why the stress and anxiety?

Today, God is saying “Stop choosing misery over royalty!” What we fail to realize is that oftentimes, our suffering is due to our own decisions. God desires great things for His people. It is His will that none would perish. Yet, He allows us free will. That free will doesn’t extend only in the realm of sin versus righteousness, but in every decision we make.

In 1st Samuel, chapter 8, the word of God tells us about a time when the people of Israel desired a king. Though God Himself led them, delivered them, fed them and spoke to them, the people allowed the lust of their eyes to take over. They realized that other nations had kings and governments. Looking at others caused them to take for granted the things they had.

It’s often funny to me how so many churches are telling their people they should be debt-free while in the same breath preaching a prosperity message full of houses and cars. Who said that prosperity means a Jaguar and a 5000-square-foot home? Who said that a single man or woman in their 40’s is not in a wealthy place? Who decided that a preacher must have the finest clothes and shoes? Is that in the Holy Scriptures? Certainly not! It’s a standard set by the world! Since when should God’s people set God’s standards by those of the world?

Like the children of Israel, many of us have taken for granted the blessings that come with living a simple, holy lifestyle. We’ve missed the benefits of relationship with God. Remember the peace and contentment you felt even when you didn’t have so much? Remember the presence of God that was with you when you didn’t have the title and education? Do you recall the zeal you had for the word before you had the burden of “building” a big church? What happened? You did run well? Who or what has hindered you?

Just as God’s people experienced in 1 Samuel 8, many of us are suffering because we asked to be in bondage. We prayed for homes and vehicles that were outside of our budget. We married men and women who were not serving God. We attended churches for status rather than following the anointing. We’ve made decisions based on appearance rather than substance. While God’s forgiveness is there, consequences are still very real, even to the born-again believer!

Now, we find ourselves in many cases, praying for a way out. Yet, the contract that was signed for that Escalade contained all the warnings, just as God warned the people about their future king. He told them that bondage was coming. That automobile contract detailed the interest rate and the monthly payment. Yet, the dotted line was still signed. That man or woman gave all the wrong signs. Yet a trip down the aisle was more important, at the time, than waiting for the right one. Selah.

People of God, it’s time to reset our priorities. God has not left us. He has not forsaken us. Yet, He’s blessed us with the freedom of CHOICE. We must choose to follow Him in ALL things. We must understand how to deny the flesh. This is not the season for indulgence. His grace is sufficient for thee! Truly, godliness WITH CONTENTMENT is great gain!

Don't Try to Quantify what God has Already Qualified!

1 Chronicles 21:1-2

And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.

The Word of God tells us that David, being provoked by Satan, determined in his mind to number the people of Israel. In other words, he ordered a census so he would know the number of people who fell under his rule.

Like David, many of us in ministry feel the need to quantify the thing that God has already qualified. For some, it’s the number of people in the church God has called us to build, or the amount of money in the account for the ministry He has instructed us to launch. Placing numbers on a thing that God has ordained is a dangerous distraction from fulfilling the divine vision.

1 Chronicles 21:7-8

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel. And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

The Word of God tells us that God was angry at David for the action he’d taken. In fact, it brought a plague upon the people. Why? What was so bad about numbering the people? It was the fruit of David’s pride. God making him great wasn’t good enough. He wanted proof… a record that others could not deny. Pleasing God was no longer good enough. His flesh, his pride wanted more!

Think about it, people of God. Why do we care how many people are in our church? Because having a larger number somehow tickles our flesh. In our finite minds, a large number of followers justifies us. It makes us look good to the masses. It removes the doubters and causes people to believe in us. It feeds our EGO. Nevertheless, this is not the heart nor the plan of God.

Just as in David’s day, when we begin to operate in ministry to please men, rather than God, the people suffer. Just look at the church today… full of itching ears and people who cannot endure sound doctrine. Why? Because holiness is not popular. So many have compromised the Word of God in order to draw a crowd. Straight and narrow is still the way, and FEW there be that find it. God is not concerned about numbers. If He were, there would be no need for a REMNANT.

How dare we try to devalue what God has ordained! Quantifying what God has already qualified is nothing more than a slap in God’s face. Who are we to set the standards for God to meet? Who are we to judge what God has set in place?

I have been guilty of this very thing, feeling that our church and ministry was not blessed, because others said it was “too small.” I’ve doubted the call on my life, because the wealth wasn’t there or the calendar wasn’t full. Yet, God quickly reminded me that He has called me and set me as a prophet, to speak His words – not to gain popularity. He has given me watch over souls, and I can never devalue them simply because they are few in number.

So I encourage God’s people on today. Stop looking at natural things to measure your supernatural worth! It doesn’t work. It is the plan of the enemy to show you things that can be seen, and thereby attack your faith, which operates on things NOT seen. You cannot compare apples to oranges. Hasn’t God already shown us that big is not always better… Richer is not always more anointed… Prettier is not always favored? Has He not chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise? Has He not declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last? Has He not proclaimed that the greatest among us should serve?

Stop it! You cannot measure spiritual success by natural measures. Did God ordain it? Then go forth! AMEN.

Stop Feeding Dogs at the Table

Matthew 7:6
Do not give that which is holy (the sacred thing) to the dogs, and do not throw your pearls before hogs, lest they trample upon them with their feet and turn and tear you in pieces.

When I was a child, feeding animals from the table was something that most people just didn’t do. It was considered to be unsanitary and unclean. Besides, once you feed a dog from the table, they will sit at your feet and beg. You’ll never have a peaceful meal again. Not only that, but a dog will never appreciate the efforts put into a good home-cooked meal. To the normal pooch, meat is meat. Drink is drink.

In the spirit realm, many of us are suffering heightened levels of frustration because we’ve forgotten the words that Jesus spoke. He instructed us not to case our pearls before dogs and swine. What did He mean by that?

Of course, the people were not actually giving pearls to dogs and pigs. Jesus’ instruction was allegorical, meaning that we should not sew our treasures into those that are not appreciative.

In the Body of Christ, those of us who minister the Gospel struggle with this concept on a daily basis. In our zeal to do the work of the Lord, it’s not uncommon for us to attempt to minister to everyone, pray for everyone and bless everybody. Then, we are tired and frustrated because many take advantage of the work.

People of God, examine your table today. Who are you feeding from the table that God has spread for you? Are you dining with like-minded people who can relate to the work of the ministry? Do your dinner guests know how to live holy and use seasoned speech? Or are you just sharing your meal with the house pets… those who are present and benefit, but make no contribution to the household, have no respect for the anointing and refuse to live according to the Word of God?

Think about it… Have you ever had someone who despised the gift of God within you? They refuse to live right before God and completely discredit your advice when you share the word of the Lord with them. Yet, every time they need a breakthrough… real deliverance, they call you? Then, what happens? Of course, you get upset. You feel used, despised and taken advantage of.

We must not get discouraged when people don’t respect the gifts and callings that are on our lives. Too many of us are trying to “convince” those that are not mature in God of who we are. Why? Did not Jesus instruct us to carry the Gospel and shake the dust off our feet when the Word of God is refused (Matthew 10:14).

Stop putting so much effort into pleasing those that do not desire a relationship with God. Refrain from sowing into those that don’t respect your anointing. Certainly, we are to pray and love one another. However, God does not expect us to continue sowing our revelation into those that will not obey Him.

Be careful who you share your revelation with. It was feeding dogs at the table that caused Joseph to be hated of his brothers and Daniel to be despised by his colleagues. Not everyone is able or willing to accept and appreciate what God is doing in and through you! Selah.

It Takes Money to do Ministry

This is a prophetic message dealing with a very natural subject – money as it relates to ministry.

“It takes money to do ministry.” We’ve all heard and said this exact phrase. In order to do the work of the Lord, money is required. It takes money to travel. Running the church requires money. Funds are needed to pay the bills.

God has really been dealing with me about this mentality, as it has become a stronghold in the Body of Christ. It is true that money is required to operate within certain aspects of organized ministry, but it is NOT required to simply obey God...to step out on faith. He always gives provision for the vision! The money will come just as the obedience is manifested – by faith!

Oftentimes, money becomes an excuse for us. Rather than stepping out on faith, we put money in the place of God. It becomes an idol, because we will disobey the word of the Father if it does not agree.

Let’s just talk about me for a moment…

Recently, I canceled a ministry assignment because I didn’t have the funds for travel and there were some problems with my vehicle that were already going to cause a large amount of debt. Though God clearly told me to go, I felt that my means were not in place. Well, was I disobedient or responsible? Initially, I thought I was being responsible, until God rebuked me.

God knows our necessities before He makes the assignment. Religion has taught us that certain things must be in place before ministry can go forth. Well, those teachings are not always true. Look at the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His disciples. Did they not leave the things they owned? They didn’t work to gather a means for ministry, but left their natural means FOR the work of the ministry.

I was reminded of the days of old, when neighborhoods banded together to ensure all were fed and everyone’s child was raised correctly. When one neighbor needed butter or ice, they didn’t go to the rich neighborhood to find those who had an abundance. No. They, being poor, went to another poor neighbor, right next door, who gave of what they had.

Throughout history, the poor are those who have been most giving, and it worked! I’m not saying that we must be poor or that being poor makes us more generous. What I am saying is that money, or the lack thereof, is no excuse not to help. It’s no excuse not to move. It’s no excuse not to speak the word or comfort the hurting. It’s no excuse not to give of what God has supplied in you. It is no excuse to do nothing!

In this season, money is used as an excuse for so many things, and as a result, the Church is stagnant. Even with an abundance of funds, we are stifled by budgets and boards. When will it stop? As God supplies, we must go forth. We cannot allow the lack of money to convince us not to go, just as we cannot allow the abundance of money to convince us that we are called, in and of itself. One extreme is just as ludicrous as the other.

We may not have all we want to go, but we certainly have all we need.

As I write this post, I know there are some God has called forth, but it doesn’t seem the funds are available. I’ve been there, but God has provided. He has, He can and He will. Just obey!

The lack of money is no excuse for disobedience. You may not see what you need, but certainly God has it. He will never assign us to complete a work that is above and beyond His capability through us. “…he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

Your Trials are Just a Tool... to Bring God Glory!

I just want to encourage the saints of God this morning. So many are going through trials and tribulations, yet we cannot faint. Do not lose focus of our God and the Kingdom purpose to which we are assigned.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all (Psalm 34:19).

If you are a true, called saint of God, trouble is coming your way! One of the greatest injustices done to the church is the preaching of a gospel that promising false hope. The word of God NEVER declares that this walk will be easy. God never promised that all your troubles would be washed away. He never declared that you “cried your last tear yesterday.” In fact, we know just the opposite. The enemy has a job to do, and he does it well. The good news for us is that ALL things work together for the good of those that love God and are called according to His purpose. Yes, even the plans of the enemy will work on your behalf! Hallelujah!

People of God, please understand that having a relationship with God does not guarantee a trouble-free life. I see too many of God’s elect getting discouraged and off course. Too many pastors closing the doors of the church because the people aren’t coming “fast enough.”… Too many prophets closing their mouths, because somebody didn’t receive a word… Too many prayer warriors abandoning their prayer closets because others doubt their God… MINISTRY IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST! Rejection comes with the territory. There will always be someone who feels they can do it better. There will always be someone with more education. There will always be someone with more money. BUT, GOD CALLED YOU, and there is no one else that can do YOU!

I’d like to take a moment to address those that feel they are the exception. These are the ones who ask God questions like:

· “Lord, it was so easy for Pastor So-and-So. Why is it so hard for me?”
· “God, I don’t understand. I had money to fund everyone else’s vision. Now that you’ve given me an assignment, I’m struggling.”
· “Father, my family was so close until I walked in ministry. Why are they now turning against me?”
· “Father, I served my leaders faithfully, and I love them. Why are they now jealous of my gifts?”

Oh, the questions go on and on. Unfortunately, many of us believe that if problems are present, we misheard God. Not so!!!

Remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? They disobeyed the king’s order to bow to an idol God. As a result, they were cast into a fiery furnace that burned seven times hotter than usual. What if they’d had the mentality we possess today?

· “God didn’t deliver us from the punishment. He must not be with us.”
· “After all the king has done for us, we should have been obedient. This is punishment for disobedience. Who were we to think we could hear and trust God for ourselves?”
· “Now, we’re going to die. Our death has been announced, and there is no hope.”

Oh, how the story would have changed!!! We know that God DID INDEED DELIVER the men of God. In fact, the Bible tells us that the king sees four people in the furnace, though only three were cast in. He then pronounces, “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (Daniel 3:25).

Sometimes, when you are treated unfairly, when you get seemingly more to bear than everyone else, when you are persecuted, when it seems all hope is gone and death is at your doorstep, that’s when God shows up!

Notice that the same king, who didn’t know God, suddenly recognizes the Son of God. We must never forget that when others see our good works, they will glorify our Father in heaven. We cannot forget that our testimony is our greatest tool for soul-winning. There is no testimony without a test. There is no victory without a trial. There is no deliverance without a stronghold. Hallelujah!

Trouble is promised, people of God. Ministry was never meant to be easy. It will always have his challenges, BUT you must hold fast to the promises! GOD is your deliverer, and He is faithful!

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD (Isaiah 54:17).

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all (Psalm 34:19).

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew 5:11-12).
We must crucify the religious thinking that says all ministries with money are blessed while those that suffer must not be anointed of God. We must stop the religion which teaches that all who are healthy are full of faith, while those who become sick must have separated from God.

The word of God is our guide, not the definition of success according to the world.

Press through, saints of God. Take on the mentality of Paul. Learn to be both exalted and abased. In whatever state you’re in, be content and remain obedient! Find yourself steadfast, unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord! Selah.

You Already Have Enough

Our church hosts prayer every Monday night at 7:00, and I truly enjoyed it tonight. It’s a blessing to join in unity with the saints and just call on God with a unified expectation. Tonight, God spoke strongly about repentance in the Body of Christ. In addition, He spoke to our insecurities as people of God.

As the Lord began to cry out against sin and call for repentance, I found myself asking God for more. Not more material things, but more anointing, more courage, more gifts in the spirit… you know, the deep stuff. Then, my Father showed me a vision…

I saw a man who was diligent at work. God instructed me to look at his hands and his feet. They looked perfectly normal, as he assembled all types of beautiful items – furniture, buildings and appliances. Then, the man looked to God and asked for more. I notice that he began to grow more fingers and toes. At first, it just slowed him down. But as more of them grew, he became clumsy, then handicapped.

Then, God spoke again. “You already have enough. Sometimes more can become a handicap. Some have asked for more gifts, and received more. Then, they began to glory in themselves. Some prayed as Jabez did, for an expanded territory. When I gave it, they credited themselves. They forgot the spirit that Jabez had. Their “more” becomes a stumbling block… a distraction, even though it’s “more” of a good thing. Yet, you have been supplied with enough. My grace is sufficient for you. You must be faithful over what you have in order to have the discipline required for more. Use what you have, and see the power I’ve already given you.”

He continued to minister to me about how we waste time always praying for more. What are we doing with what God has given us? We are called. We are gifted. We are equipped. That’s more than enough to get to work and see the victorious hand of God at work.

He is My Refuge

Throughout the week, God has been speaking to me about the place of refuge. We understand that a place of refuge is a place of shelter and protection. It is a safe haven, a place where one can be strengthened and protected.

Psalm 46
1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

As people of God, we must learn to truly make God our place of refuge. Too often, we learn in church to run from God in the time of trouble rather than running to Him. The enemy is busy. He is doing His job and rising against the people of God. He is at war against the remnant. Unfortunately, he has been too successful in his primary attempt, which is to place a wedge between God and His people.

When a mistake is made, this is the moment to run to God. Allow nothing to keep you from His presence and repentance. RUN to the place of refuge. This is the perfect opportunity to take on the mind of Paul –

Philippians 3:12-14
12Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

In this season, it is essential that we understand and know God as a source of refuge. There will be times when we are overtaken by weakness. Run to God! There will be occasions when we feel sad or defeated. Run to the Father!

When in the presence of our God, we have no reason to fear. Hallelujah!

Psalm 27
1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Refuge is nothing new to our God. Even in the days of old, He has always provided a place of escape for those who were weak and hunted by an enemy. Under the law, a man who accidentally murdered another had a place of escape - a place of refuge where his mistake would not make him susceptible to attack due to his mistake.

Our God is a just God. He knows that those who love Him will make mistakes. Yet, He rightly judges the heart. A true child of God knows that His love covers a multitude of sin. We need to learn to run to our source when we are troubled. That is not the time to be alone. It’s not the time to run from God, but to run TO Him!

Be encouraged in this season. Learn to run to the bosom of our God. He is your REFUGE!

Signs of Vindication

I just want to encourage the leaders this morning… those whom God has called forth to raise up a remnant. I’m not necessarily speaking, however, of those with the largest church and most faithful followers. I’m talking about those who face opposition, doubt and frustration, but know only that God has given you an assignment that you cannot afford to abandon. I’m speaking to those who are quickly dismissed as “crazy” and “rebellious.”

Oftentimes, the success of a spiritual leader is judged by worldly standards, but God is calling us to refocus. We need to measure our success by our level of obedience, the impact of our worship and the readiness of God’s revelation to us! Money, popularity and status mean nothing to God. Take a look at the word. Has he not ALWAYS chosen the foolish things (and people) to confound the wise?

There are many called of God who are still working in the trenches. Some are struggling just to be obedient. The support is absent. The money is scarce. Resources are limited, but the call is great! The media, the world and this society have made you feel like less, because you are not “blessed” by the standards of men. Today, God is saying that He is sending signs of validation.

Numbers 17:1-9
{17:1} And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, {17:2} Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of [their] fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man’s name upon his rod. {17:3} And thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod [shall be] for the head of the house of their fathers. {17:4} And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. {17:5} And it shall come to pass, [that] the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you. {17:6} And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, [even] twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron [was] among their rods. {17:7} And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness. {17:8} And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded
almonds. {17:9} And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

Just as we see today, there were people in Moses’ camp who doubted his ability to lead. He was different. He didn’t fit the stereotype and didn’t have structured training. Yet, God took the opportunity to prove that he was chosen for the work. Such is the season of our day.

God spoke to me a few weeks ago and reminded me of His word, which says that as long as the earth remains, there will be seedtime and harvest. He then said very clearly, this is a season of sowing! Now, He was not speaking of money. God began to show me how ministry, for many, has become a means of gain. People are starting churches to make money, launching ministries to become popular and finding followers simply because they feel they are “owed” for the many years they served another leader. In the mindset of many, they feel this is a season of harvest. The prosperity messages are going forth. People are being taught to “declare and decree” anything they want or desire. God is saying that is not what He is looking for. He’s looking for those who are willing to sow. He wants worship. He wants obedience. He wants a love for His people and a desire to win souls. This is a season to WORK.

Just like Moses, some of you are different. Though you’ve been taught one thing all your life, God is telling you differently. While everyone else is preaching one thing, you are hearing another. You are not in this for personal gain, but because you feel as Paul did – Woe is me if I do not preach the Gospel!

Though you may see things from a different perspective, God is justifying you. The key is your understanding that this life if not your own. You understand that ministry is not about you, but an opportunity to glorify the only true and living God. That’s what sets you apart. This is why God is moving on your behalf.

Prepare yourself to see signs and wonders that cannot be understood. God will use the “little” servants in the camp to remind the superstars of who He really is. Continue pressing. Continue sacrificing, because someone is watching. They see that things don’t add up. They are wondering how you continue to press through. After all the contemplation, only one solution makes sense… GOD!!!

Remain faithful to the call. God indeed justifies whom He calls. It is not our job to “prove” ourselves to men, but to God alone. If indeed we are called, He will provide the proof.

Roman 8:28-31
{8:28} And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. {8:29} For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. {8:30} Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. {8:31} What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?

Many started out with a purpose, zeal and a love for the people of God. Yet, in their desire to vindicate themselves, they lost focus of true ministry. We must not succumb to the same trap. Do not lose focus. There is a work to be done, and opposition is to be expected.

War on American Soil?

People of God, I don't make a habit of sharing all of my dreams publicly, but last night God showed me a very powerful and scary thing. I've been in prayer as to what action I should take with the dream - whether to simply intercede or share it. In this case, I must share what God showed me.

Again, the dream was very disturbing... even to the point that I found myself almost afraid to go back to sleep. Yet, I know that it was of God, and I know it is a message of warning unto this nation. That means that IT CAN BE STOPPED, but we must be ready in any event.

Before getting into the details, I must also say that I believe the word of God. We know and prophecy in part, but I know that someone else has more to add. If that is you, please share as God leads.

In the dream, my family was in the car. My husband just picked me up from work, and he was driving. My two children were in the back seat of the car, and our radio was on. As we were coming down the highway, I saw a helicopter in the sky, then a strange looking plane. I told my husband to look, and when he saw the plane, he said, "That's a war plane... a fighter jet!"

Neither of us knew why the plan was in the air, but then we began to see more of them. They were flying low to the ground, and my husband (a former marine) kept saying that something just wasn't right. Then, we saw one of the planes drop a bomb on a building. Now, the bombs on these planes were not the big bombs that we see on TV. When they dropped, they took out 2-3 floors of each building. They were also manned planes. We watched in awe as a swarm of them appeared in the sky and just starting dropping bombs on building after building.

Of course, the traffic began to back up. On the radio, the regular station was interrupted by a news caster stating that we were under some sort of terroist attack. It was announced over the airways that these planes were attacking government buildings of all sizes. Anyone in a government building was advised to go to the bottom floor and escape to a neighboring building. Everyone else was told to stay put, including vehicles since they were not being targeted.

Just moments after that announcement, my husband took an exit off the highway, and we went to a friends apartment to get off the roads. I don't know who this particular couple was, but they were very afraid. While I was there, my mobile phone rang. It was a former co-worker asking me what was happening. At her job, she could only get bits and pieces of the news. As I was on the phone, I looked out of the friends window and noticed large pieces of brick falling off her building. "Your apartment has been bombed!", I screamed. She asked us to leave and take some of her belongings.

Frantic, we left the apartment and got back in the car. We strapped this kids in quickly, as they were asking lots of questions. I then made a phone tree to call to tell my church members that Bible study was canceled due to the bombings. This let me know it took place on a Wednesday.

My husband was trying to take a back road out of the apartment complex, and we saw one of the planes bomb a hotel just a few blocks away. It took out the top 4 or 5 stories of the building. Eventually, we made our way back onto the highway, but traffic was almost at a stand still.

Then, to my left, I looked and saw another type of jet. It appeared to be almost flat. It turned on its side and started spraying bullets at the fighter plans, shooting them out of the sky. My husband was amazed and afraid. He told me they were "our" planes shooting down the enemy plans. The maneuvers they made under the highways and between the buildings were amazing, but there were now planes falling out of the sky.

As the radio news continued talking about a terroist attack, I was wondering how in the world planes could come over American soil, undetected. Then, there was a special message from the president. His tone was very angry, as he said "We are being attacked!" I don't remember the exact words, but he stressed that someone had declared war on us. This wasn't "just" a terroist attack, but an organized attack from a government somewhere.

In the dream, I understood that the east and west coasts were the target. Eventually, and rather quickly, American jets came in to shoot down all the planes. The entire attack seemed to last only 30-40 minutes, yet so many lives were lost. People were devestated, and hundreds of buildings were destroyed.

I was simply in awe! How could this happen? How and why could hundreds of fighter planes simply fly into our airspace and begin an all-out attack on the American people?

When I woke up from the dream, I was very disturbed. This was a VERY REAL dream... I have been in prayer for this country, and ask that you join me. This country and its leaders must be alert. The enemy is real, and America has turned its back against God. Our leaders must be covered in prayer, and they must seek divine counsel in order to protect our people.

Numbering the Days...

This is the time of year where people around the world are making resolutions for the New Year. In the church, in particular, we must be very careful about allowing a date to dictate our sacrifice of worship. Too many of us are waiting for the latest prophecy or catchy cliche that will promise prosperity and change in 2010. But, what about 2009? What about all the prophecy and godly instruction we failed to complete during the last twelve months?

Unfortunately, there are still thousands of people around this globe that will never see January 1. For that reason, it's important to understand that NOW is the day of salvation. As people of God, we understand that God operates in seasons... not by our natural calendars. If we are currently in a season of disobedience, repentance is necessary before a change comes. It takes more than a mere change of date.

Let's resolve to savor every moment, with a readiness to repent and continue in Kingdom building TODAY, tomorrow and every day thereafter. There is no doubt in my mind that God will continue blessing us in 2010, but we don't have to wait for the new year in order to offer Him a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is our reasonable service. Amen!

You Just Never Know

How Much CHRIST is in Your Christmas (Annual Post)

This time of year, it's inevitable to read the newspapers without hearing the ongoing debate about Christmas. Is it wrong, is it right? Should we say "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas"? To gift or not to gift? It's a never-ending saga, even in the house of God.

Without getting into tons of history and research, only to come to an endless debate, I want to share one thought with everyone during this holiday season...

So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Saints, during this time, we must remember Christ. We must consider the heart of God. So many of us struggle and argue with traditions and their origins. We want to please our children, but are conflicted about which parts of Christmas should be kept, and which should be dismissed. Truthfully, it's really not that difficult to figure it out - DOES IT EXALT CHRIST? DOES IT DRAW MEN TO THE FATHER?

Even more, what did God tell YOU to do? Have you asked the Father what pleases HIM? Hmmmm...

Now, I leave you with one other thought. Consider this scenario...

A man and woman are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. They have enjoyed a wonderful relationship, held together by the grace of God. At the anniversary dinner, the man leans over the table and looks into his wife's eyes. He tells her how he has enjoyed the wonderful time they've spent together, and presents her with a gift. To her surprise, it's a 4-karat diamond ring! Excited and anxious, the woman removes the ring from the box, and notices some engraving on the inside of the band. When she reads the inscription, she realizes the ring actually belonged to her husband's ex-wife. He purchased this very gift as an engagement ring for his first wife rather than the one he was celebrating.

Now, his wife is disappointed, and somewhat upset. Confused about her reaction, the husband asks her why she is so upset. Pulling herself together, she explains... "I feel like I am receiving left overs. Though I know you love me and that you want me to feel appreciated with this lovely, expensive ring, the fact still remains that when you purchased it, your heart was set on someone else. The original purpose for this gift was to express your love to another woman, not me. I'd rather you give me a new penny, from your heart, than a recycled gift that happens to fit the occasion."

Isn't it funny how we do the same thing to God around this time of year? Many times, we get so caught up in tradition, and we SAY it's being done for God's glory. When we KNOW a particular act or practice came from idolatry, paganism... practices and people that did not please God, yet we try to justify them at this time of year by making it seem like a Christian agenda. We are simply trying to please God with an idol's offering - trying to give Him a used engagement ring. This year, let's give Him something new and genuine from our hearts. Seek His face and give Him praise.

It's useless to get into the origin of Christmas trees, whether Christ was really born in December, etc... We are past that now. We all know the facts. So, we must now draw the proverbial line in the sand. Before we celebrate, let's just ask God what REALLY pleases Him. Whatever He says to do, let's do it. Whatever He says to leave out, let's just leave it out!

Then, and only then, will God get this glory in this season. Saints, we cannot continue to allow the world to dictate how we celebrate, when we shop, what we tell our children, and how we decorate our homes. We are the salt of the earth. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DIFFERENT!

Have Faith IN GOD

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

If you are anything like me, you’ve been taught that your faith can create things in your life. We’ve seen the “name it and claim it” season in the Church, and we seem to have redefined the same as declare and decree”. We are constantly taught that we shall have what we say, and that anything we ask God for shall be given unto us.

Well, what happens when the “thing hoped for” does not come to pass? We know that God is not a liar. For many of us, we were taught or understood that our faith was just lacking. Is that all there is to it? Does God really perform anything we command, simply based on our “faith?”

I thank God for relationship, because He’s dealt with me about this very thing for the last couple of weeks. He told me that we have this “faith thing” all wrong. In a nutshell, our problem is that we are putting “faith” into the wrong things, which means it’s not really faith at all. Yes, faith in the wrong thing(s) is nothing more than deception!

How many times have we seen the sick ask for prayer and healing? Over and over, the preacher or the prophet “decrees and declares” the healing, but it does not come to pass. How does one rationalize this over and over again? I can only begin to imagine the thoughts.

Of course, there are many reasons this scenario could “go wrong,” but I want to deal with just one right now – an incorrect view of faith. Oftentimes, we simply take the Scriptures out of context and feel we can “command” God to do what we wish. Well, our Heavenly Father is not a genie in a bottle! He is, however, the origin and the focus of faith.

It’s very important to understand just that – God is the ORIGIN and the FOCUS of faith! Many times, people ask for prayer or stand in prayer lines believing that they can be healed, but their belief is in the person. They’ve heard the prophetic words, seen the animated preaching, heard the array of tongues and have developed confidence on the power of the person to heal them. This is where their faith is disjointed.

We love to quote verses 23 and 24 of Mark 11. It makes us feel good to know that whatever we declare shall come to pass and whatever we pray for shall be supplied. Yet, we often neglect verse 22. In fact, I’ve never heard it quoted with the former. “Have faith in God!” Simple, but profound.

This is a season to mature in the things of God. We cannot continue to make the hope of miracles, signs and wonders an idol! Yes, many in the church are now “worshipping” the signs. We go to church to see the “move of God”, but not to have a personal experience with Him. He commanded us to seek Him, not the residue of where He’s been.

In a nutshell, faith cannot exist without God, because we need His word (rhema or logos) in order for faith to grow. Remember, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” This is why the word declares that “without faith, it is impossible to please Him.” God has made us in His likeness and in His image. He operates by faith, and has given us the same. As declared in Hebrews 11, it was by faith that the world was formed. We also know that God gives each of us a “measure of faith.” Faith has no source outside of God.

So then, it makes sense that when we decree and declare things outside of God’s word, they do not come to pass. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. One simply cannot have, or apply faith, if God’s word is not on it. Many of us are spending time making commands to the atmosphere, but have never heard God. How can faith be applied to what God has not said or ordained, if faith comes from Him?

Perhaps the husband that was prophesied 3 years ago has not come due to your lack of faith, but the lack of the word of God in that situation. Did God say it? Did He ordain it to be so? If not, true faith cannot be applied.

One might ask, why then does the word say “whatsoever?” Even Jesus, when He walked the earth, said that He could not do or say anything without His Father’s instruction. Yet Jesus was in tune with the Father. He put His Father’s will first, and allowed it to become His own. Therefore, when He did make a request or give a command, it was for God’s glory. That’s why it came to pass.

In Matthew 17, Jesus cast out a demon after His disciples were unsuccessful in doing so. They asked Jesus why they were not able to do the same, and He said to them “Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (vs. 20). Of course, the disciples believed they could perform the miracle, but they lost focus. Their belief now rested in themselves and their own power. They forgot about the source.

Jesus goes on to describe the mustard seed and tell them that if they had faith as a grain, they could remove a mountain with their words. Oftentimes, we assume Jesus is comparing their faith to the size of a mustard seed, but he is actually comparing their faith to the faith of a mustard seed. A mustard seed cannot do anything except what God has ordained it to do. God created it. It operates as He created it to operate. It looks the way God ordained it to look. It grows according to His will and purpose. Therefore, it operates in perfect faith. It is indeed the “substance” of something hoped for and the “evidence” of something that was previously unseen.

When we operate in pure worship and obedience to God, we too can be like the mustard seed, operating as God has called and ordained us to operate, in pure faith. Faith is walking in your ordained place, so that God can bring His will to pass through you!

Faith is suffering, because we are moving in our own wills. We are busy prophesying what we want God to do, rather than what He has already spoken, commanded and ordained (Ezekiel 13:2). Our “faith” is being channeled to our pastors and leaders, but must look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Remember, “faith” in the wrong thing is nothing more than deception!

Annual Review and Evaluation - Take Inventory!

If any of you are like me, you work on a job that gives an annual performance review. At least once a year, I sit down with my manager to review my goals and accomplishments. Based on my performance since the last evaluation, I receive a grade and potentially, a raise.

Recently, I’ve received a number of phone calls from people, including those in ministry, who feel as though God has not moved in their lives. Oh, I beg to differ!

I have been thinking today, not only about myself, but many others as well. I can truly see, when I take the time to think about it, how far God has brought me over the last year. Not all my growth is financial or material, but I thank God even for the maturity in the Spirit. That is so important, though often overlooked. God made a promise to His people – that He would not leave us. I believe the word of God today!

I encourage us to journal and take note of our requests. Many may be surprised to see that indeed, God has allowed us to move from glory to glory!

In the same manner, as we reflect over the past year, it’s important to look at what was missed. How many assignments from God remain neglected? When did fear stifle my growth? In what areas was I disobedient or lackadaisical?

Rather than chasing now the new prophecy for 2010, let’s reflect on 2009. God reveals so much through reflection over our own lives.

Amen.

Are You Giving God Your BEST?

19 And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.
20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
22 And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
23 All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
25 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

What value has your praise? What sacrifice is behind your worship? So often, the people of God forget that God desires and requires our BEST. While our worship and our praise are given freely, there is a sacrifice that is required. That sacrifice is the key to sanctification. Oftentimes, it’s the difference between talent and calling, ritual and worship or entertainment and praise.

Too often, we try to give God what is left over. David understood that God deserved his best and was willing to give Him just that. It’s far too easy, especially in this day and time, to miss this very simple concept. True worship is sacrificial, and we must offer God our best.

How often do we work all day, tend to the family, cook, clean, then sit down and struggle to give God ten minutes of prayer before wandering off to sleep? How many times have we watched television, gone shopping or traveled and crammed for twenty minutes before delivering a message to God’s people?

Throughout the word of God, we see a pattern of God requiring the best and the first. Salvation is free, but a solid relationship with God requires a cost! Are you truly giving Him your first? Can He count on your best? What choices are we making?

As I think about the “church” in this hour, it seems that many things are a lot more relaxed than they were just ten years ago. People can come “as they are”, as dressing up is no longer required. Musicians are now paid, rather than saved. Preachers present themselves before God’s people wearing layers of make-up, fake hair and press-on nails. Singing talent and “runs” are now respected more than a true anointing. Sin is glossed over and no longer exposed. Young people lack respect for elders, speaking to them as if they are peers. Preachers have sermons that draw attention by using words that were once forbidden in the church. Men look like women. Women act like men. Fornication and homosexuality are nothing more than “strongholds” when they used to be sin. Whatever songs one hears in the world are brought into the house of God and given a different name, though we all recognize the beat and baseline. Dancing and shouting have replaced repentance. I could go on and on and on…

The point is this – Since when did it become so easy to be a “saint?” Who are we to dismiss God’s requirements? Conviction is part of the sacrifice of worship. Living a holy lifestyle requires work. It requires rebuke and may even require pain.

I think back to a church fast I once participated in. As the pastor described the terms of the fast and the purpose for the consecration, he then began to excuse many from the action he’d just described. “If you get a headache, just have some orange juice and bread. Keep a bag of peanuts in case your stomach begins to growl…” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Where is the sacrifice? Isn’t fasting SUPPOSED to hurt? Aren’t you SUPPOSED to be hungry? That’s the point, right???

People of God, this walk with the Father was never intended to be easy. Jesus told us very clearly that persecution and temptation would come. The word of God instructs us to flee and resist. That requires SACRIFICE. We have created this foreign concept called “comfortable Christianity,” and it is not of God.

If we are not willing to sacrifice, we are not worthy of Him. What are we really giving to God? Selah.

URGENT Prayer Request

Readers:

Please be in prayer for the family of Shaniya Davis. For those outside of NC who may not know, Shaniya was a 5-year-old little girl who was reported missing last week. As it turns out, her own mother sold her as a sex slave.

Shaniya's body has been found, and sources say she was sold to a family friend, by her own mother, to pay a drug debt. She was then raped and killed by the man who reportedly kidnapped her.

The story gets more sick and confusing every day. In particular, this entire ordeal has pulled on my heart. I too have a 5-year-old daughter and cannot begin to imagine what her family must be going through.

Please pray for our children, in general. They need it!

Read the Bible in 90 Days - Day 42

Well, we are almost half way through our journey. Today is Day 42 of the 90-Day Bible challenge. I must admit, I have fallen behind a few times. Yet, this challenge has been well worth it. I am continuously surprised at the level of faithfulness and commitment I am seeing from those who are sharing this experience with us.

Currently, we are about half way through the Book of Psalms. Reading through the Psalms is so eye-opening in relation to God's grace and mercy. The Psalms capture the heart of David, and can be appreciated so much more after recently reading the preceding books.

This program has had its challenges, but they are certainly outnumbered by the benefits. It is truly life-changing, and we have just 46 days to go!

What About the COVENANT of Marriage?

As I shared previously, God has really been speaking to me about COVENANT. He has been speaking to many in the Body of Christ about this very subject, on many different levels. Surprisingly, one of the areas I am struggling with is that of marriage and divorce. That is a surprise to me only because I’ve never been divorced, and am very happily married. Yet, I’m struggling with the things that I see, particularly the disrespect shown to marriages within the church.

I can’t help but notice that divorce is a major issue among believers professing Christ. It is almost glanced over and accepted as the “norm” among many believers. Many of our ministry “icons” and television stars are divorced, yet very few have tuned them out or asked questions. Pastors and leaders often split without any requirements of their followers. Fornication and adultery are a common theme, yet we move on as if it’s no major issue. If a major televangelist or mega preacher were to become pregnant while preaching the Gospel, so many would rally to have them sit down and relinquish positions of authority. The same would take place if one committed murder. Yet, divorces happen among Christian leaders constantly and consistently. Nothing changes. No one “sits down.”

Why is that? Perhaps there is a sense of comfort we feel when leaders are not held accountable to covenant relationships. It somehow makes us feel justified. It allows us to maintain control without trusting God or even harder, trusting the God in another person!

Before we examine the Scriptures, let me say that my purpose for delving into this very sensitive topic is not to judge or bring condemnation to any individual. Rather, it’s to educate through the Scriptures and bring to our attention the fact that we are very quick to dismiss the Word of God in situations where it causes difficult accountability and discomfort. Most importantly, I’m bringing this up because it means something to God. If we can’t keep our vows to our spouses, how can we be committed to our Heavenly Father?

Anytime a discussion such as this takes place, we tend to major in the minors. For example, in every argument concerning abortion, we hear those who defend the murder of unborn children by asking “What about the rape victims?, when in reality, less than 1% of those who receive abortions are rape victims. The same is true of the divorce discussion. “What about the ones who are abused?” In fact, a very small percentage of “Christian” marriages cite abuse as a reason for divorce. Most of them do, however, involve finances, infidelity and “irreconcilable differences.” Hmmmm….

With that stated, let’s look at the word of God…

{Genesis 2:23} And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. {2:24} Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. {2:25} And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

The fundamental plan of marriage was to join two souls together, one man and one woman, that would strengthen one another in the things of God – a partnership for worship. Even before further discussion takes place, the Bible tells us about leaving and cleaving. Marriage is meant to unify a man and a woman such that they become one. In order for them to become one, as marriage ordains them to be, others need to be forsaken. A man (or woman) must leave his old ties and “cleave” or stick to his wife (or husband). That word “cleave” gives a sense of passion and responsibility that will shape the rest of this study. One who cleaves holds on tight and doesn’t easily let go. They understand the value of what they have and make it part of themselves.

The next statement is also very profound. They were both naked, but not ashamed. When two people are joined in marriage, they must be open and vulnerable to one another. What does that look like? No secrets… No reservations… No personal, private agendas… God never ordained for two people to come together while living separate lives. In order for two to become one, those two much have 100% open access to one another. I believe this foundation is already violated in many of our marriages before they begin. Without a solid foundation in the word of God, failure is sure!

Of course, the word of God deals with marriage and divorce on many levels after the initial glimpse at Adam and Eve, but let’s take a look at what Jesus said about the matter. After all, He is our Lord, Savior and master teacher.

{Matthew 5:31} It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: {5:32} But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Jesus plainly said that when a man divorces his wife, for ANY reason other than adultery, he causes her to commit adultery. Her remarriage to anyone else then causes him to commit adultery as well.

{Matthew 19:3} The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? {19:4} And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female, {19:5} And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? {19:6} Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. {19:7} They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? {19:8} He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. {19:9} And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except [it be] for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. {19:10} His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with [his] wife, it is not good to marry. {19:11} But he said unto them, All [men] cannot receive this saying, save [they] to whom it is given. {19:12} For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from [their] mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive [it,] let him receive [it].

Jesus’ lesson on marriage was so strict and to the point (established by Scripture) that the disciples thought it better for a man not to get married! They had a reverence for the things of God that we must regain.

To reiterate Jesus’ teachings, let’s look at Paul’s address to the church at Corinth, where he gives very specific instructions concerning the marriage covenant.

{1 Corinthians 6:18} Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. {7:1} Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman. {7:2} Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

For the record, fornication is sin. There is only one way to enjoy a sexual relationship within a holy lifestyle. That is through marriage, which is defined as a sacred, covenant union between one man and one woman. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.

{7:3} Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. {7:4} The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. {7:5} Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

Within a marriage relationship, there is an expectation that both husband and wife be considerate of their spouse and enjoy a sexual relationship that is fulfilling and mutually beneficial. After all, neither the husband nor the wife belong to themselves if indeed, they are joined together as one. Those who are not mature enough to exercise occasional self-sacrifice are not fit for a covenant such as marriage. Again, the Scriptures speak very clearly.

Very clearly, the word of God warns that inconsistency in this area opens a door for Satan to creep into the relationship. We have seen the proof of this on a daily basis. Oftentimes, and inconsistent sexual relationship bares some percentage of the blame for divorce and separation amongst those in the church.

{7:10} And unto the married I command, [yet] not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from [her] husband: {7:11} But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to [her] husband: and let not the husband put away [his] wife.

As a master teacher, Paul is careful to distinguish his “opinion or advice” from the direct command of God. He stresses that God’s command is that a wife not depart from, or divorce, her husband. If she does, she is specifically instructed to remain single or be reconciled to him. This brings us to the subject of repentance after divorce.

We know that sin is the violation of the Law of God. Repentance involves confession and a “turning away from” sin. This is very important to consider, especially when discussing the topic of divorce. As we continue examining the Scriptures, this context is very important, as a person cannot truly repent without “turning away from” the sin. So, if the sin is adultery, a person must cease adulterous acts in order to truly repent. The question then becomes, how can one repent from adultery caused by divorce?

For the sake and simplicity of this particular point, let us consider only two, consenting adults who have a relationship with God. If both enter the covenant relationship of marriage, between not only themselves, but themselves and God, true repentance can only take place after the dissolution of their marriage if they remain single or reconcile again with one another. Why? As we stated, repentance means to “turn away from” sin. Divorce, in and of itself, and for any reason outside of adultery, is a sin for those who are living within a covenant relationship with God and one another. The Scripture states then, that only two remedies, or avenues of repentance, exist – remaining single or reconciliation.

{7:12} But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. {7:13} And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. {7:14} For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. {7:15} But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such [cases:] but God hath called us to peace. {7:16} For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save [thy] husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save [thy] wife?

Now, we see Paul making a strong recommendation for the circumstances of those believers who are joined to unbelievers. As we see today, Paul also lived in a time when the people thought that spiritual rebirth within a marriage by one spouse justified divorce from the unbelieving party. Not so!

Marriage, as stated before, is a covenant. Our relationship with God is built on covenant. We must, as the Body of Christ, reverence the gift that God has given us through the institution of marriage. It is not something that should be treated as a fad or temporary fix. We must also refrain from supporting our brothers and sisters, especially those in leadership, who abuse or neglect sanctified covenants before God. Divorce is not an open exit for those who are simply “unhappy.”

I must admit, I am asked some very difficult questions about marriage and divorce. Many of those responses are prefaced with, “I’m sorry, but that’s just not supported by the word of God.” The point is this - Our opinions don’t matter. Who are we to stand against the word of God simply because it’s tough or we don’t care for it.

What Does COVENANT Mean to You?

Yesterday, we were blessed to have a guest Prophet visit our church. The word she shared was very profound and right on time. Part of what she discussed was the subject of covenants. Since yesterday, I’ve been thinking about the covenants in my life… the promises I’ve made and the commitments to which I’ve been assigned.

It’s sad to say that covenants no longer seem to mean much, especially in our society. The worst thing about it is that our salvation is based on just that – a covenant. When we tell God “Yes,” we accept the blood covenant that has been established through Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. Along with the gift comes a responsibility.

All in all, sin is simply a “covenant violation.” Our relationship with God, whether we like it or not, depends on covenant relationship. That covenant, or contract, consists of “if, then” conditions. If we cannot keep simple covenants in our everyday lives, it’s no surprise that we have a difficult time living holy before God.

As I continued to meditate on this topic, God simply reminded me of all the covenants that we, as the Church, have forsaken:

· Marriage – As the people of God, our divorce rate is just as high as that in the world. Yet, we somehow sweep this under the rug. Your marriage covenant is part of your covenant with God. Our commitment is not only to our spouses, but also to our Heavenly Father.
· Credit – We buy, but are slow to pay, if we pay at all. God desires people of integrity. When we make a vow, whether it’s to pay a car note on time or pay off a credit card bill, God expects us to be faithful to the vow.
· Employment – We are to work as unto the Lord. People are always quick to make sure a place of employment holds up to their end of the deal. However, we are also quick to arrive late and leave early. When men see our good works, they will glorify our Father in heaven. For some of us, our witness if weak due to our unethical behavior in the corporate world.

We could go on and on discussing the importance of covenants in our lives. The point is that in order to please God, we must have integrity. We cannot expect God to bless us and give us favor when we fail to exercise commitment. We’ve got to stick to it to do it! Let’s stop making excuses and just live holy. Truly, our word is our bond!

LOL! I love this video... it's actually funny and entertaining. And, these young men can sing!

As I watched, however, conviction came over me on behalf of the church. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? That's the question heard. Immediately, I thought of all the church services I've been to - more than half of those I've attended in my life - where the singing was awesome. The preaching was animated. The singers and the preachers had TALENT BUT NO MESSAGE!

Just like we see in this video, which was obviously done in fun, two young men have talent, but the essence of their message is nothing more than a sitcom theme song. Everyone can relate. It sounds good. It keeps us entertained.

Entertainment? Haven't we had enough? When the runs are gone... When the music stops... When the people stop shouting... What has changed? What was the message, REALLY?
